Hugs taplady, hope you and ds feel better soon.
Well iv just sat down after a nice warm bath and plan on catching up on my missed internet time over a glass of wine:beer: (why break this weeks habit today?? )
We have had a fantastic time, stayed with mil and step-fil and they are just so cool for in-laws ( this isnt the fil that visits on a monday!!!), they had arranged for us to go to 2 bbqs over the weekend to meet some of their old friends and meet one or two new ones. The first bbq was amazing the people hosting it had a swimming pool, not just your easy set up ones like we have but a real swimming pool, the kids were well impressed and played until 11pm in it with the other kids that were there, dh mum got VERY VERY drunk, so much so that dh took the kids on ahead on way home to get the car whilst i walked trying to hold her up and make sure she didnt fall in the hedges!!!! She was so funny kept saying sorry that 62 year olds shouldnt get in that state!!:D:rotfl: :rotfl:
We spent a evening on the pleasure beach and bought the wristbands for unlimited rides, cost us £48 for 6 of us and we must have had over £200 worth of rides.:T
We did the maize maze and went to the stock car races where they had 9 skydivers jump into the satdium, so all in all had a great time, just uploading pictures to the computer, iv took over 200!!!
Didnt want to come home but did IYSWIM, Love being away and no phone ringing all people calling in, but also miss chilling out at home.
Back to reality now, have to make sure i stick to budget, start getting xmas prepared for and uniforms for start of school to be sorted.
Hoping you are all having a great summer and that the weather is being good to you all.

I am shatter knackered............after numerous phone calls ranting and raving my friend has got moved to her new apartment, she has curtains up, her bed is made but NO HOT WATER and her shower works but does not drain......we discovered this morning that the shower had never been connected up when the flat was rewired and the alternator to the pump for the shower is missing, the cable has been cut in the attic, so someone is going to have a job on...........it makes me so mad, no way was that apartment ready for occupation, it has never been inspected or they would have found oth the hot water and the fault with the shower.
The movers were suposed to be with us at 12 noon, they turned up at 5.45pm!!!!!!!!!!!!GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR even worse than our move.
I have promised to go and give her a hand in the morning, but I am having the afternoon off and going to see my sewing friend..............I need a break......
Nice evening, there was a lovely sunset last night, we watched it through the apartment window....................September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

DLB,
I can so sympathise with your mil...I never remembered the journey home from my 62nd birthday in June, so there is nothing wrong or disgraceful for a 62 year old to have one over the eight now and then!

i had a coffee! felt physically sick for a while but have got over it now.he is home and ok, DH was lovely about it just glad he was ok.The car will need a good bit of repairing as it was a big people carrier that he hit:rolleyes: but he only scratched their bumper, not sure if they are doing anything about it yet as they havent rung so no news is good news! If they dont claim then we will repair without informing the insurance, being a young driver he has a £400 excess anyway:eek: yesterday I saw a young boy just after he had been knocked off his bike by a car, he was being treated by paramedics in Hereford and looked in a bad way and I really felt for his parents when they got "that" call so I'm just glad my boy is ok.
PennyPincher - sorry you've been so poorly and I hope you feel better soon XXXXXDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all :hello:
JackieO - I know you won't get this message for a while but I hope everything's gone OK. You've just made me cry a little bit with your message from this morning. Only got in a little while ago so candle has only just been lit (I had to pop out for matches specially) and it's a posh sexy scented one called Decadenza which smells yummy. Thought you'd approve. When you're up and about again you are coming round to mine for a Bombay Sapphire and that's an order
I've just had the most unproductive evening's shopping imaginable  First, I went to Bravissimo to try on the lovely white and black frock I've had my eye on... and NONE of the sizes quite fitted (the 14 Super Curvy was almost fine, but v. tight round the middle to the point where I could hardly breathe) so I didn't buy it.
Then went to Jones Bootmaker and Monsoon to check out the last minute bargains at the end of the sale... and didn't find anything I liked.
Then went to Gerry's, the specialist off-licence on Old Compton Street, in search of some birthday gifts for alcoholic friends... oops, did I say that out loud, I meant "alcoholic birthday gifts for friends"only to discover that they closed half an hour before I got there
All I managed to achieve in the end was a packet of vastly reduced chicken breasts at Tesco on the way home :rotfl:
Still at least it was MSE :rotfl:
Right, must get the washing machine on... if I put a load in to wash now I can put it on the airer and then be naughty and put another load on to wash+dry overnight.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Churchmouse - glad you enjoyed Jodi Picoult. I now think that reading My Sister's Keeper first is a mistake, as I've read another couple on holiday, and was disappointed with them. They seemed a bit *samey* - Keeping Faith especially. DD who reads loads (especially in school holidays) is getting through the lot, so recommending me her favourites.
Penny. x
Oh what a shame, I've read the best first then, typical me:D If you don't mind I'd love it if you could PM me with DD's recommendations. And keep meaning to say I LOVE your new signature. And it's true:D

Just wanted to add my thoughts to Jackie my adopted mum - I have lit my White company candle especially for you and opened a bottle of wine to toast your successful operation which I am confident you have had. As a result of the above my office smells gorgeous for a change and I feel a bit squiffy having not eaten yet - I know you will be proud of me:D ( I certainly am of you ) Get well soon missus as or that Bombay stuff will evaporate:beer:
Take care everyone else

Mmmmm just got out of a hot shower
Rzl I love that dress. My summer resolution is to wear more dresses. Over the years they have somewhere dissappeared and my wardrobe consists of shorts, trousers & a few skirts.
Moiliere It's Sanitarium nutmeat. It's from a can. Don't touch it.I got it from a website that the poster raved about it. I don't usually buy stuff from a can but believed her.
Hope you all have a good night's sleep, I'm off to start the day. ByeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Some people are totally lacking in compassion:rotfl:A manager came out and *rigged* the system so that provided we have the radiators on full pelt, with the room thermostat set at 30 degrees, we can after an hour, get luke-warm water:rotfl: We haven't bothered  We only managed 20 minutes and were all heat-exhausted even with every door and window open.
