    Morning everyone!

Felt it was time I really made an effort to manage a short post at least.

jackieO - thoughts and prayers are with you, hon.
Penelope Penguin - very well done to you and your DD:T

Aussielass - glad you are looking forward to a lovely 2 weeks with DGS! I went with DD2 this week to buy James his first shoes - he thinks they are wonderful:D

Nice drying day here today, got duvet covers on the line atm and will go and find some more stuff to wash shortly.

DGS 13yo came round yesterday, so his Auntie (DD2) came round with baby DGS (1yo next week) as she hadn't seen him for ages. I think he was a bit worried that his little nephew had so little hair - next time he's here I'll get the photo album out so he can see that his Mum didn't have much at that age either!:D

Very tired this week so will take things gently today - a bit of dusting and hoovering, and try to make sure I don't start anything that can't be abandoned in the middle if I need to stop! This stupid illness is so frustrating, I can't even clean the windows as my arm muscles won't work for long enough. As for things like decorating, forget it

Oh well, I know there are lots of people worse off than me, some of them on this board, so sorry to moan, just needed to let off a bit of steam :o

Hope you all have a good day, and that those off on holiday have a great time!

    Best wishes

    ivyleaf xx

    Hi Ellie
You must live near me, lol. I did exactly the same bought the only place I could afford, ex housing assoc house, some of our neighbours are ok, some are a complete nightmare. One in particular, her partner so far has set fire to her car & her shed, when she wouldn't open the door to him!!

    Good morning,

Well today is the first day of me getting back to my OS ways. OH has just gone off to work so I will have a little look around MSE then pop some washing on and have a bath.

My missions for this afternoon are to tidy our bedroom and sort out the bootfair things ready for saturday. I am doing a bootfair with my mum, we need to boost our cash and make some room. Must find some labels for the prices.

Think i'll make a shepherds pie for dinner, thats not a bad OS meal, i'll do the mince and onion in the slow cooker too.

Thinking positive thoughts for those who need them. Have a good day.

Welcome back purplegirl - wondered where you'd got to. Are you doing the bootfair at the big park on saturday? We're hoping to do it on the Sunday providing the weather holds.

I've finished attacking the visitors - typically didn't find a single one but now feel confident that I should have caught the majority of the eggs. Big cat's been scrapping - he's got a lovely wound on his neck - will bathe it later - they always turn into abcesses with him.

I'm in the mood for some cooking - think I will enrole DD's to find something they want to make and we can sit and eat it this afternoon whilst watching a 25p film from blockbuster (what a great offer!).

Off to Hever Castle and Legoland next week so want some good weather please - not to hot but not freezing either.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just popped on quickly to send love and (((hugs))) to jackieO as I remembered today is the day!

(((hugs))) to Ivyleaf, remember to pace, it is so very easy to overdo things with the horrible illness so go very carefully.

Off to pack as I am off to spend some quality time with some very good friends.

    Hope everyone is ok! (((hugs)))

    Afternoon all,

JackieO....in my thoughts since I woke, hope that the next couple of days go well...talk soon.

Happy holidays to those heading off, we have nothing planned as everything seems to be going on at once so have to be here. Might get to Sardinia for a week in September to ease the winter blues.

OH has become obsessed with making things from some of the wood around the place...having made two four foot square boxes for me yesterday he is now working on planters...will be glad to get the stuff currently sitting in decomposing plastic into nice wooden planters.

Not so nice to-day, no rain but cloudy and windy...I should be out deadheading flowers so will get to that shortly. For some reason my arthritic knees are playing me up to-day and I feel very tired, so that will be as much as I do.

Hugs to all in need, head not working well at all, could do with a nap but too late...I would sleep for hours and be up all night to create a vicious circle.
