Hi am sitting here shaking, am a bag of nerves, my 17 year old DS just rang up and said Mum I've had an accident! he has run into the back of a woman who put her brakes on suddenly and has damaged the front of his car, not sure what he's done to hers but both of them are ok thankfully. He said its drivable so have told him to come home carefully. Am not looking forward to telling his dad! Must be in shock as I feel dreadful, i expect he does too.
Just needed to get it off my chest!

((((((taplady))))) go and make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. It's really rotten to get *that* phonecall, but at least nobody is hurt. Cars can be repaired. Take care

PENPIN - I hope you're on the mend you poor thing. That must have been quite firghtening. You'll need lots of pampering now!

ANNIESTAR - you go kick some a***!! Well done for sticking to your guns!

ELLIE - what horrible neighbours - no-one should have to put up with that.

AUSSIELASS - nutmeat - what's that?! I must admit, it doesn't sound very nice!

TAPLADY - well done on the weightloss. That's brilliant.

Well, it's been a lovely day here and I've got all the washing dry so it looks like ironing tomorrow. As there won't be a lot, I'm determind to get it done so that it doesn't build up.

Going to have some dinner then I think I'll have an early bath - will call in later. Hope everything has gone well for JACKIEO.

    Catch you all later.

    KathyXX

TAPLADY - just read your latest post - hope he's OK - that is the phone call we all dread, no wonder you're in shock.

Taplady - hugs for you all. I did something similar when I was 18, but in my dad's car   He wasn't happy, but cars can be mended. Glad no-one was hurt.

Churchmouse - glad you enjoyed Jodi Picoult. I now think that reading My Sister's Keeper first is a mistake, as I've read another couple on holiday, and was disappointed with them. They seemed a bit *samey* - Keeping Faith especially. DD who reads loads (especially in school holidays) is getting through the lot, so recommending me her favourites.

Penny Pincher - I was thinking where you were while driving home, at around the time you were posting - spooky ;) Hope you feel better soon.

Shez - the chooks are doing well, thanks. Was going to update my thread with some photos, but have mislaid my camera again :o Will do it soon.

    Penny. x

Just nipped back on because Mr T shop after a restless night has knackered me out and I'm trying to build up strength to sort the car boot. Either that or go to bed for an hour!

PenPin -please take care of yourself!

Apparently Severn Trent have lost 150 bowsers. Well they can't have had too good a look - I passed 3 on my way to Mr T and back! Spent too much in Mr T but did stock up the freezer with 2 or more weeks worth of meat and toiletries for a while. Yup, I had the H&B vouchers but I'm obviously not as good as others at getting loads for free. Plus I found a really nice SA and was so enjoying chatting with her I forgot to hand over a couple of vouchers

Must be the day for car crashes. On my way out of town to see that a woman had just hit a road sign on the other side of the road. She seemed fine, but don't know what made on earth made her swerve. Was there in time to see sign drop off from pole! Didn't hang around as there looked to be too many people getting involved. Here's hoping no-one has a really bad accident!

Ugh. Really ought to get on and do something. Need caffeine! Have a nice night.
