    Good Mornign all!

Jacki - I'll be thinking of you as well! If anyone would like to, there is a virtual candle website: http://virtual-candle.org/index.php - pick a colour and light it on there if you can't at home.

Tomorrow the trees come down! Tomorrow the trees come down! The 5 leylandii in the backyard. I just keep thinking that I can then plant some more of what I've got in pots and then *whispers* get more plants!

same old same old here; chicken last night was nice - lemon chicken roasted with new pots, courgettes, onion + a pepper. Tonight; might make thai chicken, not sure yet; roasted half and boiled half, in a chinese way. that one should be really moist!

Got my delivery from lakeland yesterday night; got a free roll of foil.

Hope everyone has g great day!

    Good morning all,

JackieO Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. You are such an inspiration. Good luck for today. I will be home from w**k at lunchtime and will light my candle then.
PenPen will pop over and see your photo shortly but well done. :T

(((hugs))) to all those who want/need one. Quite a few regulars are missing at the moment. Are they all on a meet, do you think? ;)

W**k today at my Thursday job then I need to go to my other job to check post, e-mails, phone message, etc. Will be glad when my boss gets back.

Other than that, I will be doing housework. I was a lazy mare yesterday and did nothing except one load of washing. :o Still, I had a "ladies" excuse yesterday and feel better today so there is a chance that something will be done.

    Have a thrilling Thursday. xx

    Morning possums, :D

JackieO Good luck. We'll all be praying for your speedy recovery.

Been cooking up a storm today. DGS arrives here tomorrow. Probably in the afternoon. The computer guy who we got to look at my computer has ripped us off. DH said quite a few words to him. He hasn't brought it back yet but that should be interesting. Think I might wander down the veggie patch to make sure those pesky locusts aren't there when he arrives. :p:D Let DH deal with it.

PenPen Well done to you & DD. :T
CM Hope you get hot water on today. ;)

Off to get tea on. Have a great day. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning all....................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one, and a special one for JackieO.............................

Awful night, was still awake at 4am, so feel like a limp rag this morning. We have an appointment with the dentist for a check up and then I have promised to help my friend move into her new flat. We moved a lot of bags for her yesterday, the chaps from the council are coming this afternoon to move her funriture...........I have a feeling I am going to have to ake a zizz later, otherwise I will be fit for nothing.........

The sun is out, but there is a chill in the air.......I think it is to be a little cooller today..............

Shez....did you add some baking powder to your cake mix, I find if you use an all in one method you need a teaspoon of baking powder, its because you do not beat the air into the mix the same as you do if you use either a hand mixer or kenwood.
September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

    Tesco £57.13
    Petrol £10.00

csarina - yes i did put a teaspoon of b.p in. Maybe the food processor is not as gentle as mixing by hand and it knocked the air out??
    I really dont know?

all i know is if i mix it by hand with wooden spoon then sponges rise much better.

    ps: its a moulinex machine.

    Good Morning all,

JackieO, My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your daughters today.
PenPen, congrats to you and your daughter on the race for life.

I haven't got much planned today, need to give the house a lick and a promise and if the weather stays fine we may go out. I've left one of the courgettes too long on the plant and it's enormous so tea tonight is marrow and something....I need to go and look for marrow recipes as I've never cooked it before.

    Take care all,

    Pink xx

Hi Shez, my cakes never turnout well if I use a food processor, I think you are probably right about it not being a gentle.

feeding Dlb's cat whilst she's away. She hopes to return today, after staying on for an extra day!
Work, few odd jobs in the house, sitting in the sun whilst DD plays in the pool. Making the most of this glorious weather.
DS has been going to the local leisure centre during the holidays. They do all kinds of activities, wet & dry, and they are supervised by the staff. from 10am-3.30pm for £3.50 p/day!

I've just recently found out that my employers have been paying me 50p less an hour since January. Its all sorted now, and thanks to my manager, I'll be getting a tidy sum coming back to me in this months wages. £254 to be exact! The payroll manager was only going to pay me from the end of tax yr.But my manager argued my case, saying it was their mistake,Ive worked for it,therefore should receive what Im owed.

We break up a wk on Friday. Cant wait. 2 weeks off. Kids are going to Newquay for a week camping with their dad, then a wk in Skegness. Myself & OH will try for a last minute break away. He wants to go to Turkey. Im still keeping my options open for Florida. To Go and see my brother! Im not bothered as long I get away from here!

    Right best be off.
    Catch you later
