Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi Ellie
You must live near me, lol. I did exactly the same bought the only place I could afford, ex housing assoc house, some of our neighbours are ok, some are a complete nightmare. One in particular, her partner so far has set fire to her car & her shed, when she wouldn't open the door to him!!

we have a lovely old couple opposite and the old fella always pulls our wheely bin back to our back gate.
(shame we have to put it in sharpish or it willl get pinched to carry objects to set fire to on the field near us! )

    neighbours everybody needs good neighbours:whistle:

    Hello!!!!!!!!!!! :hello:

I'm logged in at Pink's house as she has very kindly looked after the little haribo's for me all day. I'm sure she'll post about their behavior when i'm not around ;)

I have been all over the place as she said, looking after my brother's kids for a week as well as my own was, em, character building. OH joined me on Monday but has gone back today. I'm looking forward to getting home on Saturday but will be busy catching up with the house and the girls go back to school a week today so I must do something interesting with them.

Thanks to you all for your kind words to Pink when Sandra died. I know it meant alot to her.

I have to run now and sorry not to have read through properly but you are in everyone's thoughts JackieO and I have everything crossed for you. ;)

Aussie. I would gladly tackle Pink's housework for her but as I am only here for another 48 hours I feel it may be futile. ;):D

    Back soon.

    Haribo x

    Afternoon All

Anniestar - hope your sit in works - good luck

Had a brill day shopping. Have bought astroturf trainers for DD school - not cheap but the first pair she liked were in stock. School shoes for a fiver from Ravels and 3 pairs of school trousers which are nearly half the price of the normal one she has. Also she bought some shorts and trousers. I spent a next voucher on a dress and bought a top from new look.

Had to go to Pizza Hut for lunch as thats where she wanted but was ok, and I had my lovely costa a lotta coffee.

So a succesful day which is very unusual when I am shopping with DD.

Just off to prepare tea now - have a lovely evening.
  • Anyone missed me???

I wont bore you with details, but my health took a turn for the worse over the past few days and ended up in hospital:eek:   ....they have let me home on a promise that I totally rest:rolleyes: ....I have to go back on Monday. I have a severe chest infection and as I have no immune system and on auto-immune suppressents- apparently it can turn nasty quickly:confused: ...anyway..I am totally fed up and black and blue from all the pricks and drips. I have had very very limited access to MSE too and just havent had much energy to write loads, so have just kept postings brief.

OH and DD have been great and friends have pulled together for DD etc.

I'll try and post later once I have had some proper grub (OH doing a Roast:D ) and will have some more energy.

Jakieo-Been thinking of you and hope all goes ok.

    Hugs to all.

    Good afternoon everyone!

Haribo, nice to see you on the board! Now 48 hours is more than enough time to *top to bottom* Pink's house. Just go grab some cloths now:rotfl: :rotfl: I'd offer to help but I'm tied up at home:D

This morning I was helping at a fundraiser for a local children's charity. It's for severely handicapped children and provides daily care and respite care in lovely surroundings. Seeing a couple of the children in for respite care puts your own problems into perspective. Left DH to oversee the repair of the brand new boiler.;) Suffice to say, it's been repaired and still I have no hot water, so it's carry on with the cold showers:rotfl: The repaired boiler showed that something else has failed on the system and they *promise* I will have hot water tomorrow. Sounds familiar, and I now believe it even less:rolleyes:
I refuse to stand boiling kettles and saucepans for hot water to clean with, so I'm having *time off* from cleaning:rotfl: See there's a bright side to anything! After so many of you praised Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper, I sent for it and some more cookbooks using an Amazon gift voucher. It arrived yesterday and I finished it this afternoon:D I thoroughly enjoyed it, wept buckets and can't wait to order some more of hers. She's a writer I've never encountered before, but I found her a fluent easy read, but with something to say.

Well I'd best get on, the hordes will want feeding and I've not even thought about what to give them.:o :ocan I pretend that as it's a hot day I always planned on salad with all the odds and ends of meat, cheese, flan etc? I'll do new potatoes too!!
    Time to bluff methinks,

    CMxx

Still here. It's(apparently) the work of 10 mins now   (Well why the he!! don't you just get it done then????????????)He has very (carefully:rotfl: )mentioned that he has to take his wife shopping shortly and seemed somewhat nonplussed when I told him that I love supermarkets and which one are we going to:rotfl: (true-sadly). Will keep you updated. Have been offered another cup of coffee(would rather have a computer though!)
