Mostly habit I think .... my hubby has always had a good appetite and I just started having larger and larger platefuls. Also - I tend to scoff my meals very quickly in order that I can sort the children out with their fruit/dessert after dinner. As we all know - if you eat too quickly - you dont give your stomach the chance to register the food and send the signal to your brain that you are full.
Hubby has been quite supportive though - and as he is off this week I am hoping we can tackle this evening meal issue.

Doesnt help that we have these really big pasta bowls which encouraage very large portions of pasta. Must try the small plate idea

.....was gonna suggest a personal smaller plate as I was halfway through reading - you beat me to it. Good to know hubby is helping. Would it help to sort the kids first, then relax with your own?

Ah I see! but she isn't fat ajax even Mrs Beckham could do that, not that she'd want to of course ;)

    xxxx

.......it's really not the picture I'd hoped to find, but a google image search of first love handles then muffin top didn't bring up what I wanted. She's much skinnier than I was imagining.

Where's the best place for one to acquire a good pedometer without paying inflated JJB prices? I feel left out, and have often wondered how many steps a round of golf takes.

IIRC an average round of golf is 4 miles.

....but I have stumpy legs, not yard-long strides :) Also, that kind of assumes you play in straight lines, and mine is far from that lol

I note there is a possible new member of the '3 figure' club? Was it Starlight at 95lb lost? You going to come and join me? :)

    .

Im for that... hold that place for me :) Ill be happy (for once) with staying the same this week as I was away last night at a rather nice hotel and on Sunday have a big family do. Hope to be in that 3 figure club in a couple of weeks time tho so keep me a seat ;)
  • Ajax...forget my last post about pedometers there a cheaper one in argos...£2.97

Don't know if the price will reflect its quality though. I used to use the free kellogs one....I wore it for a day and found that my daily trip to work got me over 10000 and then gave up...It never occurred to me to try and beat that total!

My commute is a bit shorter now so i should probably abolish my four floors rule and do the extra flight of stairs in my dept...very inspiring reading the climbing averages of the step steppin peeps

    Monring all

Loved the photos, you are all so brave to put them on here but you all look absolutely fantastic, what a difference a few months make, eh? Bindi - Are you still doing cambridge diet?

Well, have really cut down, didnt rejoin SW, preferring to save the money although if things dont go according to plan I may consider going back - I will have to change groups though as I am starting an accounting course on the evening that SW is on. I have been out running again (under the cover of darkness) and am finding it easier each time I go. DH has to work late tonight so I will see if I can pluck up the courage to go alone. Apart from the lack of confidence I do need him to encourage me and to give me the push I need. I weighed myself this morning and dont appear to have lost any weight. Cant really understand as I have really been trying - oh well, must try harder. Its a maintain for me this week :(

Well done to all the losers, and Kyle - 37 days to Orlando - I'm green with envy :rotfl:

    Welcome back Suggs

yep still on it. have lost another 1.5lbs this week grand total now 37.5lbs and 29.5 inches too

.. blinking flip - where d'you work, Lisbon?

Thanks for the tip - can't go wrong for £3. Could get matching his and hers ... we still have wedding gift vouchers left :)
  • Lisbon...I wish!

Used to live in salford but was studying at manchester uni so it was about a 5mile round trip and there wasn't a direct bus so it used to add up...

moved outside Manchester now so its only 1.2 miles to get to the train station... (I'm a bit of a shorty so they would have been small steps)

Oh if people would like to work out the distances they walk try http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/
