On clearing out a cupboard I found my pedeometer... the one I got when Fat Nation challenge was on BBC... and have worn it every day. I have to say that I am embarrassed by how little I do... This is my recording so far - On Sunday from 1pm = 948, Monday = 1909, Tuesday = 2596. So quite a way from the recommended 10k. However, ds is back at playgroup next week so will be out walking a bit more so hope to see an improvement at least.
JHKE I know what thats like- I have a very sedentary job and without making an effort I only manage about 1800 a day!
However I am now averaging 10k a day and it has taken time and planing- you also need to be a bit selfish... last night when I got in from work my daughter wanted a lift to her friends house but I wanted to walk in the woods and needed the daylight so I told her she would have to wait a bit. I knew if I came in sat down took her to her friends I'd never go walking.
Today I went out for a half hour walk between 06.45 and 07.15 and did 3k, I'm now at work and only on 3873, but I will walk when I get home.... I am getting addicted to it.
Don't be worried about how little you are doing now just set little goals and you will be amazed how you can increase gradually and how it effects your wellbeing and shape. Good luck x

    mmmm. muffins.

some amazing losses this week - go feisty fairy! Honey we're all so impressed with you doing the running - I just wouldn't have the motivation. I started swimming a couple of months back and lost interest in that - and the pool is a 5 minute walk from home. I've quit the gym because i just didn't have time for it - and I was finding that if i did manage to religiously go twice a week i was so exhausted with everything else that I would be no fun to be around. I do get a major walk one night a week with my business venture and making myself pay the full price for anything I eat myself is working. I picked up a little exercise tip from a magazine that I've found really useful - if you have an electric toothbrush, don't just stand there, do some squats or some lunges whilst your 2 minutes is buzzing away. I can feel the difference from doing this every day - and it encourages me to do some situps afterward becasue i might as well. It's definitely making a difference - i can really see it if i miss a few days too.

The picture galleries are a brilliant idea - you all look fantastic.

....lol I tried to tell ya :)

And of course, too much of anything is not good, but a little pinchable bit of muffin top between a crop top and jeans... nowt wrong with that.

In fact, I'll go as far as to say every girl should have a bit of muffin...........

    Hi All
Look at you suggs!! you are a real insparation.
Can someone chalk me upfor another 3lbs this week please?.
Got on the scales at WW this week and was soo chiffed as it started with a 9 at last ! so i have now lost the 10% and only need to loose another 2 lbs to get to goal if i stick with the original one or i can go for it a bit longer to get to my real 9st 7 goal.

    Happy belated birthday Bindiboo !

    Thanks all

.....I think not, but never really looked into it. Do a straw poll of the menfolk in your life - size 14 versus size 8. You may be surprised.

And you're here for yourselves of course, not to please men  :D
