Woops, didn't realise potatos & rice was a bad combo! I'll have to substitue one for a salad!

....... maybe it's not especially on Slimming World?

I have no idea how they do it but those clever folks at SW have come up with a plan which allows yu to have unlimited quantities of both. It's the green plan..

What's that meant to mean? Are you thinking that just cos I take the mickeyl from you means that I can't be nice to other people? Or give meaningful advice?

Shame on you Ajax you should know better than that!teas0004.gif:p

Oh also, I think I may have found something about joining SW online cheaply in the past but can't remember how or where?? I did post on here about it but not sure how I go about relocating that post - help Ajax or someone! My brain is too fried [in pathetic feeble voice] but hope this can help the people who are trying to find an affordable way to start.

..... can't really help bails, I dunno. (bienvenue en arrière btw) The only SW deals I have known are the free joining ones which run sporadically.

:) . My step count for yesterday was 16,312  :rotfl: so...
As I said I'm a bit dubious as to it's accuracy and even more so now when I found out that it only cost £1.99. So far today I've done 10,987, I do tend to pace quite a bit at the moment, but not that much surely! However it has made me very interested to see just how many I do do, and to read up about it all as it's something that I've never considered before.

Wow Petrichor - that is quite an average! :T If you think your pedometer is inaccurate though, just note the figure and then walk whilst counting to 100 steps (no, we don't expect you to count to 10000) then check and see if it has recorded more or less than expected. Personally I would just stick to being able to boast of 16312.....:p
My total today has managed to creep over the 15000 (just!) :D so my average is now up to 11847. Aiming to keep it rising.

Have decided to make my weigh in day a Wednesday as that is the day your monthly 5lb challenges run from. After all, I am weighing myself at home so which day really does not make a difference. It also gives me a 9 day 1st week so hopefully I might lose that extra 1/2 pound:rolleyes:

    Off to bed now.

Well I was so tired last night I went straight to bed and missed dinner, so I didn't have my jacket spud in the end. The downside of living alone, no-one to cook my dinner & wake me up when it's done!

    Today I have planned:
Breakfast ~ Poached eggs on toast.
Lunch ~ Jacket potato with HM chili.
Dinner ~ Grilled chicken with salad.

I'm off to a friends for poker tonight, and they usually have a few pringles and nibbles out, so will prob pick at them too!!
lol Raphael, glad we've cleared up all those confusions now. Bodyoptimise have a featured recipe for home made pizza at the moment so i think you may have inspired me to try it. I've looked at every diet i can find and pizza just blows them all out of the water. It's so unfair! I know you could try and be virtuous and just have a slice but I'm not that virtuous. The only way there's ever any left is if i want a piece for breakfast. omg, can't believe i confessed that. I use the Nigella.com forum a fair bit and they had a thread recently on guilty food pleasures. I could not believe some of the stuff people were eating!

Pizza always tastes better cold the next morning! Like any takeaway!!:rotfl:

I buy a base mix from Adsa (just add water) I think it was a pack of 2 for less than £1.
Spread tomato puree thinly on top. Then I chuck cooked chicken, olives, peppers, onions, mushrooms and sweetcorn on top (any extra toppings I save and mix with rice the next day), cover in cheese and pop in the oven for 20 mins. Gorgeous and a lot cheaper than a takeaway.
I tend to put way to much cheese on thou, I love cheese but only buy a small block very occationally (like once a month), as I end up just munching through it. If I don't buy it I can't be tempted!!:D

Good Morning You Lovely Lot

...Raph (put an extra 'l' in your name yesterday - sorry! - again) When making chilli I found that Jamie Oliver's method to be the best in both taste, texture, and the most healthy; instead of buying mince buy some chuck or braising steak (which is a lot leaner) and chop it yourself or in a processor; blitz the onions in a processor as well, this does give the dish a much better texture and finally, try adding some cumin, about a tsp per lb of meat. Regarding meals - I don't usually have 2 forms of starch eg if I have a curry then I'll have either rice OR naan, but not both - saves calories and money :j

...katyk Thanks for the info on pedometers :T I shall test it later, so far today 729 and counting :j ...
