What's that meant to mean? Are you thinking that just cos I take the mickeyl from you means that I can't be nice to other people? Or give meaningful advice?

Shame on you Ajax you should know better than that!teas0004.gif:p

TBH I've no idea about my cholesterol, my doctors are a pain to get into, and I'm at loathe to struggle for an appointment just to find out!

Hi Raphael - finally catching up on reading back all the posts I missed before. Do you have a Boots nearly? Ours do free cholesterol check for anyone over 45 but when I asked if they would do one for me (41 at time) and how much would it cost they said it too was free. I think they just don't advertise for under 45's, perhaps in case they are inundated.
Anyway, the only downside is it gives you your overall cholesterol level rather than the more complex one which shows how much is good/bad cholesterol in your system. However if your overall c is fine, then you are OK. If it is over a certain level, they then advise you to see your doc to get the more extensive test done just to be sure. It was done behind a wee screen at the back of the shop, involved no more than a pin !!!!! to the finger and whole thing took about 15-20 minutes including advice given.
    Hope this helps
    Good luck

PS Think Lloyds chemists were doing them too.

Well, I'm 23, so they might not give me a free one! But I am heading into town this week (thursday), so I will pop into Boots and see what they say.
If it is bad then I will visit docs & see what they say. Will let you all know.

Hi everyone, I'm back!! (And also in Brighton BB!)

Caught up on all the posts, and for the next week should be able to pop in regularly inbetween the washing and repacking!

Can I be added to the Challenge please Lois, although I will probably only weigh at the beginning and the end as I definitely won't be taking the scales to India, lol! Am I right in thinking it starts this Wednesday and ends 3rd Oct?

Hope you're all having a lovely Bank hol weekend, couldn't believe how lovely the weather was on the ferry back over, it's been raining solidly for a week! So hoping to get some rays in before I hit the monsoon...

Pretty tired so will check in tomorrow properly but Hi to all the newbies xx

Oh also, I think I may have found something about joining SW online cheaply in the past but can't remember how or where?? I did post on here about it but not sure how I go about relocating that post - help Ajax or someone! My brain is too fried [in pathetic feeble voice] but hope this can help the people who are trying to find an affordable way to start.

  • I lost a pound today, therefore I need a half pound loss to reach my first half-stone. Fingers, toes and whatever are crossed for next week :)

Keep up the good work everyone.
