    Hello lovely Peeps

Trying to catch up with all the posts. Hoped to be here earlier but we had visitors and I thought they'd never go, not that I wanted them to but I wanted to get here :) . My step count for yesterday was 16,312  :rotfl: so...

......blimey woman, how big are ya feet????

Only size 4 :rotfl: As I said I'm a bit dubious as to it's accuracy and even more so now when I found out that it only cost £1.99. So far today I've done 10,987, I do tend to pace quite a bit at the moment, but not that much surely! However it has made me very interested to see just how many I do do, and to read up about it all as it's something that I've never considered before.

    Off now to catch up,

Hi everyone, I'm back!! (And also in Brighton BB!)

Caught up on all the posts, and for the next week should be able to pop in regularly inbetween the washing and repacking!

Can I be added to the Challenge please Lois, although I will probably only weigh at the beginning and the end as I definitely won't be taking the scales to India, lol! Am I right in thinking it starts this Wednesday and ends 3rd Oct? Yes

Hey bails, welcome to the sunshine coast :j ; I'm to the east of Queens Park if that means anything to you. Have a good rest tonight. Hope you sleep deeply and feel some benefit: not always possible I know.

tc, sorry about the shopping trip. if they would only standardise the sizes it would be so much easier! Hope your first slow cooker experiment has ben successful and well done for staying away from the chocolate. I find it's sometimes as much of an achievement to not fall back into old habits as it is to get an actual result!

lol Raphael, glad we've cleared up all those confusions now. Bodyoptimise have a featured recipe for home made pizza at the moment so i think you may have inspired me to try it. I've looked at every diet i can find and pizza just blows them all out of the water. It's so unfair! I know you could try and be virtuous and just have a slice but I'm not that virtuous. The only way there's ever any left is if i want a piece for breakfast. omg, can't believe i confessed that. I use the Nigella.com forum a fair bit and they had a thread recently on guilty food pleasures. I could not believe some of the stuff people were eating!

lol If anyone can find a dunce smiley it will indeed be petrichor who is such a star at these things

When I saw these I thought that I owed it to my lovely chums to find one, so I've just googled dunces cap smiley and the 8th link is ajax's above post. My flabber is so gasted :rotfl:

Just managed to catch up :D

What lovely recipes Bb I've copied them ready for when I get my slow cooker out, but I would prefer if you could make your cooking instructions a bit less technical than chuck into the slowcooker  :rotfl: ...

...Welcome to our thread Twinny99 and desperate lou :T I hope you enjoy the same success as I've had from all the great support that comes for free here! I'm a wine lover too Twinny, but I made a decision right at the start that I needed to stop drinking altogether as I knew that I couldn't just stick at a couple of glasses, and although I've reached my target I don't have any inclination to have any now!...

...Well done naghair :j 1lb, keep it up :D ..

...I know that there are other things I was going to refer to, but I''' come back to them tomorrow...

...Thanks for being such a lovely bunch and for being here :o

I lost a pound today, therefore I need a half pound loss to reach my first half-stone. Fingers, toes and whatever are crossed for next week :)

Keep up the good work everyone.

Your mail made me look at this weeks chart and I have lost my first half stone. So I am celebrating , not too much though!

    Hi Twinny99 and desperate lou

  • Sob:cry: The shopping trip was NOT a sucess.
I took maybe a dozen items in the changing room - I looked awful in each and every one (tried to go for the most flattering cuts but to no avail).

Oh well - at least I saved a few pennies. I'll go back in few months and try again (when I'm half a stone lighter).

On the upside - my resolve was good. Normally I'd see my ghastly reflection and then go and find solace in a big choccy bar. Today - I headed for the veg stall on the market and stocked up on fruit and veg. Then called in at waitrose for some of their low fat soups:A

(Hot pot is bubbling away nicely for later too:drool: )

Commisserations custard: a wretched experience I know well :( . So demoralising. However, today is 4 months exactly until Xmas day (sorry to mention the C word folks) and if you manage to get going in the next few week you could be a stone + lighter by then and looking and feeling great. 1lb a week would mean 16 lbs lost by then :D .
I started my weight loss journey 16 weeks ago and today got into jeans & some pink silk trousers I haven't worn for 3 years :j :j .

I do think your idea of getting a few brighter clothes was such a good idea. It is easy to slide down into frump land and feel worse about yourself. Can you try a little online shopping for a few bits to keep you going?
I always have beter sucess with catelogue/online shopping. M&S per una have a good sale on line at the mo, as does boden. Depends on your style. Then there's Next, evans, monsoon, freemans,La redoubt, simply be: all do online and you can order a wide range of sizes and try on at home mixing and matching different ideas. So much better in my experience. But then I've never loved shopping shopping.

ps fab you didn't resort to choccy :A

    Hi all :hello:

Sorry, I'm neglecting you all again...!

I had problems logging on again last night  , I've been out all day today, and it's taken me ages to catch up on two days worth of posts, but you lot are so supportive, it makes great reading.

I'm so pleased that we've finally sorted out Raphael's gender - and I had to laugh at Beanie and Petrichor taking it in turns to be embarassed. :rotfl:

Brighton Belle - that's the second mention of the C word this month - your turn to sit on the naughty step I think...!

Welcome to all the new people and thanks to everyone that has added their name to the list for the September challenge.

Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend (unless you're in Scotland).
