I tried WW low fat cheese and really didnt like it. I do like Tesco HL cheese, its still not like the real stuff but it does me if I have a cheese craving and NEED toasted cheese or something lol
If you like soft cheese Id recommend the extra light Philadelphia (not just the light) its great points wise0 -
:TYeah well done Holly, you must be over the moon! Really pleased for you.
It's quite quiet on here today, guess everyone is out enjoying the Bank Hol.
I'm a little better now and even made it to the beach this afternoon for a bit. My ankle and knee are killing me though - will have to go to the doctors so hope it won't stop me getting to India! Mind you, unless he's got a bull elephant he'll have a job on!
Thanks for your support today guys, it's at times like these that I appreciate you even more! xxx
ps just in case you haven't heard of it (I'm mentioning it as I 'met' Katyk on there this afternoon) and you're looking for some easy money, get yourselves on Quidco. There's a thread for it on the site and I've offered to do a big post explaining it all over the next couple of days so if you're interested then come and see how you can make some dosh!
Well, we're about moneymaking as well as weight loss aren't wex

I was sorry to read about your fall bails
and about your weight, but what did you expect?
You've had a lovely holiday (not withstanding MIL :rotfl: )with lots of lovely food, so you're bound to have gained, please don't let it get to you so much. The other day one of our clever peeps said that this sort of gain is fresh weight and is easier to lose before it has time to set andI agree. So, in the morning just make sure that you start as you mean to go on and start eating healthily :j

i have always had toast for breakfast and if im honest could easily munch my way through half a loaf of bread a day if i really wanted toobut now i have no clue what to eat as even though im counting points i would like to reduce my bread intake if possible even down to not having ANY some days.

waaskint have you tried kingsmill 50/50 crusts away? It's only 1/2 point per slice. I've been the happiest pig in the pen since I've discovered it. When we were at the zoo on Friday, I had ham and cheese spread sandwiches... 4 slices of the crusts away (2 points) 30 g wafer thin ham (1/2 point) spread with a laughing cow light cheese triangle (1/2 point) and loads of sliced tomatoes (0 points). I've also had tuna sandwiches in much the same way - 4 slices of the bread and a tin of tuna (in brine of course) mixed with chopped peppers, onion, tomato and mixed with heinz extra light salad cream ... all for about 3 points - if you really want bread, go ahead and eat it.
Having said that, one of my favourite lunches at the minute is the above mentioned tuna mix with noodles and tesco healthy living tomato and basil salad dressing (about 4 points depending on the noodles). I also pre cook rice in marigold vegetable stock and have it sometimes with peppers, onions tomato and quorn or sometimes I have it with ham and apple... both are equally yummy and great as a packed lunch.
As for breakfast - I just love my cereal, but at the weekend I allow myself a toasted pancake (again from tesco.) they sell a pack of 8 small pancakes and they're 1 1/2 points each.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

I LOVE that bread!!! The main thing I like with it is the fact it toasts properly... like 'real' bread... not like WW stuff which goes like cardboard.
Ive been having KM bread, with very lf flora & 2 pieces of LF bacon - a bacon butty for only 2.5 points :j0 -
raphael and starlight - I've tried the ww cheese too and it stinks. You guys can't get a brand called "low low" over there? It's an Norn Iron (or Irish) cheese that's quite low in fat and cals. I used to get it the last time I was on WW. This discussion has just reminded me of it. Must go and get some tomorrow. (although the Tesco healthy living stuff is acceptable). I sometimes find that just buying stronger cheese and using less of it satisfies me more than a whole heap of low fat stuff.
zulubabe well done on maintaining - that in itself is no mean feat, especially if you have been a little bit naughty. and spaniel don't make any assumptions because it's the TOTM - I managed to lose 2 &1/2 lbs last week and I didn't even know until the Friday it was the totm.
Well done Holly :T 8lbs is amazing - I really must try harder at sticking to my points and see how much better I do.
What I have been doing is been "good" all week and tried to save an average of 4 points every day so that I can be bad at the weekend without feeling guilty. I can pretty much manage to stick within my points allowance Monday to Friday but I really like to take the weekend off - I do more activities with my family and means that I can eat what's put in front of me without worrying although this is really the first week that I've done it properly. WI tomorrow night so I'll be better able to say how it's going to work in the future.
I don't know about you guys but I had a great bank holiday weekend. Zoo on friday and took DS to the beach today. The weather wasn't brilliant (cloudy and windy) but he didn't care - he had mum's undivided attention and the world's biggest sandpit (or so he thought). He's currently sound asleep (ahhh! bless!) and I'm enjoying the peace and quiet.
Really long post- off now to watch a movie with OH before I'm kicked off. Have a great night everyone and I'll hopefully catch up with you all tomorrow.
