ok - i have decided on weight watchers and am off there in a minute...
but i am kind of excited as i have managed to persuade my husband to come with me and i am sure things will be alot easier if he is on it too - he is the one in our home who always buys the junk and happily eats it all with the kids... my problem is eating all day why he's at work lol but i know we can overcome these issues now and get our lives back to normal
so i will come back and let you know how it went - if you dont hear from me for the next month its because i weighed alot more than i thought
wish me luck
ps - does anyone know any codes for free registration, there is nothing on the website and nothing on myvoucher.com??0 -

Petrichor - I feel bad now for mentioning your "embarrasing post" SorryI couldnt remember the exact context of it but I have to say after reading it this morning, then looking again at your signature its really inspired me to get started properly, temporarily homeless or not! So here's to a good SW day.
Does anyone know how many syns weetabix minis (fruit and nut) are? Or can a portion be counted as a HE (b)?LoisLane wrote:Note to everyone - I've just made an executive decision that the September challenge will last five weeks, so it starts from Wednesday 29th August and ends on Wednesday 3rd October.
Count me in please. I may not get to post my results weekly so maybe its best that you take me off the chart but yes I am up for the challenge. Have a meal out this weekend with DH and some friends. My friend is pregnant so I think I will stay of the vino in [strike]sympathy[/strike] company with her :A Got a weekend away and a wedding do during the challenge but hopefully if I keep up the running this will help.
Have a good day all - its sunny here :j0 -
Morning all :hello:
Just reporting in with the result of this morning's weigh-in - a gain of 3lbs
All I can say is that the fish and chips were the first step on a slippery slope that STOPS HERE! It's me that needs the scary boot!
So it's Day One starting tomorrow (got a funeral buffet to contend with this afternoon) and I'm going to seriously think about how to get more exercise... where did I put that pedometer...?
See you later.

Hi honey
are weetabix minis the same as weetabix mini crisp ?(I've never heard of either as I don't tend to 'do' cereal) If so, all varieties are 5.5 syns for 28g red or green day.
But in the healthy b options for either day it says: 28g weetabix mini crisp fruit & nut + 1 ryvita high fibre cracker bread = 1 healthy b choice.
Hope that helps.well done you!! Thanks furry pig - this really made me laugh. Some of you lots use some hilarious smilies.
Good luck we are always skint. We all weighed more than we thought when we joined up to a club!!
Well done curvey girl and p_b :T and welcome nais:beer: . I feel very proud to belong to such a friendly group: as everyone comments on it 'we' must be. exceptional. I've never belonged to any other forum but I love this one.:smileyhea

Bad luck on the 3lbs Lois. It is clearly a case of exceptional circumstances here. You know you can turn this around. And if it galvanises you into doing more exercise then it'll be worth it. Hope the funeral goes off ok.

The book they gave you 'Eat wisely' has a little a-z in the back with some basic points. Good luck and I can recomend ajax's ww spreadsheet somewhere at the begining of this thread- will try and find it when my boss retreats...gtg0 -
I've posted this on Money Saving Forum and thought I would post it here too, to see what you lot say.
Out of curiosity when doing meals like, spaghetti Bolognese, Cottage Pie how much Mince do you use. We use 500g of mince for 2 Adults and 2 kids (3yo and 22mths) Am trying to lose weight and trying to cut cost but can't seem to get below £60-£70 per week. So wondering whether we are actually eating too much?!0 -

Hi JHKE
I use 500g for 4 adult portions.
saversarn - out of curiosity, how do you know the points of everything then? When I did ww 5 years ago, we had an extensive list plus a canny piece of card to calculate shop bpought products using the fat/cals ratio.
Ajax - is Mrs A still going great guns with ww, despite your extended night out?
