hello can i join you pretty please? i have been lurking around for a while but have today finally got the inspiration to join you in the form of a school reunion in the new year! i think i need the incentive of a weekly weigh in to inspire me. my main problem (apart from chocolate, cakes etc..) is far too much baby weight ( now 2 and 6 so no excuse there:o ) and another half who works abroad thus limiting my access to excersize without the rugrats! look forward to talking to you all again soon.

    Hi Nais, welcome on board.
Don't put yourslef down for using the 'baby weight' as an excuse - mine are 11 & 13 and I'm still using it now! Come to think of it so does my sister and her youngest is 28!

  • Hello again

Loads of chat for me to catch up on in 36 hours!!!!
Can I say what a friendly bunch you all are.
Some fab stories and inspiration around I see.

I went to SW for 1st week weigh in last night and I had lost 2 1/2 lbs. :j
Not a lot I know for a first week, but it was DDs b'day this week, so I have had Mc Donalds and choc cake x2 (bday then party in different day) I have been terribly virtuous the rest of the time.

Is it just me - the greedy side of me just loves to eat a whole tin of beans, and that is mildly thriling at the mo!!! I guess I will be bored of that soon, so will look to see the recipes when I get a mo.

katiepoppycat - you asked about my name. Its the name of the hotel I got married at nearly 11 years ago in Antigua.

Thanks for your kind welcome. p_b

But some people do take liberties! My last birthday my mother rang up and said 45 years ago right now I was giving birth, and I'm hoping to get my figure back any day now!

I've got a pedometer and am trying to do 10k steps a day, I managed it on holiday but I have a very sedentary job. However I will try and keep up with you (join the 10k a day group) it helps that I can walk my springer (can I join the springer spaniel group too?)

Hi Saversarn - welcome to the 10K group.(just as long as it refers to 10 thousand steps and not 10 kilometers!) Seems we have a membership of 2 so far but hopefully we may find a few others along the way. Will try to keep a record of my daily average as there will always be some days easier than others and, as long as I keep the average about right I reckon I am doing OK.
  • Stayed the same this week, which I don't really mind as I thought I'd put on.
Ssshh - I might know about deals in/near Keswick
