I've only been around for less than a week and i'm rofl-ing at the thought of ajax being the girl next door. Men are all the same - my OH once walked into a lamppost because he was too busy checking out a girl on the other side of the street to notice it. I was actually holding his hand at the time.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
This reminds me of the time when MrP and I were coming out of a cinema once. He was holding my hand but due to the crowd my hand slipped and I got pushed to one side. MrP just stuck his hand out and grabbed for my hand without looking back, but instead grabbed the hand of a very bemused man who in turn had his arm around his girlfriend's shoulder - the look on their faces was an absolute picture and they let MrP go quite a way before he realised that I was now walking in front of them all :rotfl: :rotfl: I'm just glad he didn't turn round to kiss 'me' :rotfl: :rotfl: ...
...I've just told him I'm telling all of you this, he's not happy :rotfl: :rotfl: ...

Thanks P
Have decided I will sit with RC books tonight and try to get some idea of a diet plan.:A Kids go back to school Tuesday so I am off work tomorrow, then back 9-3 every day for the foreseeable future. Only problem with this is I used to walk about 1.5-2 miles each way to work every day at my old job and that really helped keep things in check. :T
Changed jobs end Feb and now have just over 2.5 mile to go each way but am working slightly longer hours so cannot manage to walkor would have to kick kids out at 8.20 to do 5 minute walk to school which does not go in until 9.00!
Cannot really walk home either or they are home too much ahead of me so back to being lazy and catching bus.
Also need to think of lunches I can ask chef to do that won't be considered a hassle - work in hotel and entitled to free lunches and can choose from sandwiches, baguettes, baked tatties, salads etc. However not likely to go down too well if I start getting fussy like tuna with slimline mayo etc. Can ask for ham or chicken salad and hold the coleslaw / grated cheese etc and also thought of baked potato with baked beans as something that cannot be regarded as 'fussy'. Also can have whatever soup of the day is (usually vegetarian - although I am not).
Course I could bring my own lunch and turn down the freebie ones but that is hardly very MS, is it?;)
Will settle back to reading some of above later (3 months behind on who has done what). MOST IMPRESSED:T :T with your weight loss so far!!0 -

Right folks - still have not made out that plan and now in 'tomorrow'! Hoever, have sat for ages reading back to some (not quite all - was starting to go xeyed) of the entries, just on LW14. Would be here till xmas if I read all I had missed.
Cannot begin to mention all, but must say a big WELL DONE to Suggs - that really is quite an achievement!
Welcome to all the new names on the board - even though I have ended up back where I started when I first joined here a long time ago, I have great faith in being helped back on the straight and narrow.
Liked the £ for lbs jar idea - used to do something similar with by sis. We met at her house once a week for the weigh in and if you had lost weight that week you needed to put £1 in the kitty, if you maintained it cost you £1.50 and if you gained you were out by £2 (of course, with inflation being what it is - mine as well as the markets - these figures would need to be increased these days). Idea was we would treat ourselves to something nice when we reached our first milestone and were not allowed to touch it till then.
Have a long way to go to get the necessary motivation though - within hours of bearing my soul on here, I have just had a big plate of lentil soup which I really was not hungry enough for but it smelled so goood.....0 -
Ok another 1lb loss this week, need to lose more though and get more exercise:rolleyes: going to set myself a exercise plan that i will follow, hmmm:D

Hi there
I came back from my hols and knew I finally needed to face the issue of dealing with my weight, so went to Slimming World last Monday. Not entirely surprised, but disappointed to find I weigh more than i did when I went back there after each of my pregnancies (kids are now 10 and 8):o
I really want to be slimmer and fitter as I know my self confidence comes back to me then. I have read some of these pages, and you seem a friendly and realistic lot, too many pages for me to read them all.
