I am not sure what 'taking on the new thread' involves - but I guess I am happy to do it, if a volunteer is needed. But you will do the chart, right delly?

I hope you can do it efrieze :D

Forgot to say went ot the harvester last night for the early bird meal, had a laugh, great time, dressed smart, enjoyed it, nice to have a laugh for a change instead of stress:j :j I had the tomato soup and a very tough gammon steak, the waiter came over and asked about the meal and I told him it was tough and he said ' would you like me to send someone over and talk to you about the toughness of your gammon?':rotfl: I said ' what like a gammon counsellor?':rotfl: :rotfl: He seemed a bit confused by that:rotfl: In the end hubby ate it and I swapped it for some of his chicken, great fun evening:D

  • Morning all, just checking in with a 1 lb loss this week. Less than I had hoped but means I'm still on target to lose 1.5 stone for Xmas as my first goal.

Lois, so sorry you're still poorly and thanks for doing the chart up till now, delly thanks for taking it on, I love seeing it as it gives a real incentive especially when looking at other peoples achievements, it really spurs me on to believe I can do it myself!

    Hello:hello:

I have been following the old style board for a few weeks and have been making pastry and all sorts of 'filling' things. A side effect is that there is rather more of me than there should be, (I was'nt a twig before) and I would like to join in with you if you have room for one more. Please can you tell me

    What I have to do.
How does the 2lb thread work?
Is there a good record keeping system that you can recommend (I need to up the exercise too)?

    Thanks
  • Hi everyone:wave: . Welcome to Spirit and any other newbies. Well done to everyone who has lost or mainained.
Lois sorry your feeling ill I hope you get better really soon. Victory I'm glad you are feeling better now.
Is anyone else finding it difficult now its heading into winter. I just can't get into it. I really need a kick up the bum. What plans are everyone else doing. I'm fed up with calorie counting and writing everything down. I've got some slimming world books but for some reason I didn't seem to lose hardly anything last time I did it. I might try doing low fat for a while, don't know. Suppose it would help if I could make a decision and stick with it:rolleyes: . Hope everyones keeping well. I'm off to put a padlock on the fridge and eat the key. How many calories in a key?:D

    I maybe stating the obvious........

Do you not just start a new thread "Lose Weight 15" in the "I wanna buy-it or do-it" forum? possibly with a cut and paste of the first post from "Lose Weight 14"

Then Post in "lose Weight 14" that due the length of the posts we have decided to start a new tread and it can be found HERE (post the link)

Then tell the forum mod to lock the thread?

Happy to do it, if need be, just dont want to steal efriezes thunder :)

  • I would also like to join if that's ok. (fairly new to this whole MSE thing)

I was thinking of joining one of the online clubs but this seems even better!!

I have a whopping 5 stone to lose (well 4stone 11 to be exact as at this morning). Its the heaviest i have ever been and its really getting me down.

Would like to lose it by June 7 next year (friend from Schools wedding) but not sure if that's possible!!

All the stories on here are inspirational though!! Well done to all!!
  • No thunder to be stolen, suggs, I assure you. Maybe as a goalweighter, you want to be in charge of the thread? I think it is pretty much what you said but also linking in with the latest chart and keeping the first post up-to-date with any news websites which have been suggested as useful for all of us losers....
  • pokey128 - Welcome. I have lost over 5 stone in 8 months, so it is definitely possible. Others have lost more in this short time and others less. It requires focus and dedication and strength not to give up when the going gets tough, but we will all be here for you to spur you on and help you succeed.
