Just a half a lb loss for me this week. A bit disappointing but didn't get a chance to do any proper exercise and I am hoping for more next week.
BTW, as an aside, I usually allow myself a sizeable bowl of cereal in the morning and then avoid carbs for the rest of the day. Out of interest, I weighed my bran flakes - 100g !!!! That is a lot and I didn't think it was anything like that. So a piece of advice for those who count things - weigh your cereal cos it might weigh more than you think. 100g!!! Can't believe it even now!
I have to weigh mine as I did get a massive shock when I first did it...30g of shreddies is about 30 shreddies!0 -
Hi all,
Well done all you losers!!
Well after sticking to the Slimming world diet religiously for the last 5 weeks, here is a rundown of how i have done.:o

I have been so good and last week i excercised, i did about 25 miles on my bike, now i could undertsand a pound or two maximum due to muscle gain but 5.5!!
I felt like giving up!
This morning i have had a fry up for brekkie and feel better and want to get right back at it, but dont want to keep doing this and getting nowhere.

Morning all
Only a quick one as I have a meeting in Northampton to head to.
Nipped to Boots, extermely pleased to report a 3lb loss making it 17stone 11lb or 36.95% of my bodyweight Which means I have lost 152lb in total :j
BMI has dropped from 56.69 to 35.73
This is in spite of the two chocolate bars on Sunday, though I did work in the gym Monday to clear it
So Victory, shall we form the maintainers club? Shall we? Oh go on?
Well done to yourself Katyk on your loss :j Sorry about our very slight gain Dellybelly, as you say, if you gain, make sure it was worth it
efrieze totally argee with your findings, I bought some kitchen scales last week, and my porridge oats is between 80 and 100 grams  more surprised than anything, but it does open your eyes to the amount of food we eat
Victory, hope all goes ok with your little chat with the OH, Im sure it will. If it doesnt threaten him with the warth of the group
Right best get changed and see if I have a suit that stil fits
Have a good day all.Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Keep at it Feisty,
It takes a while to settle in to these things and its just as important to keep the fighting attitude as it is to lose the weight. Things will change you just have to keep at it. keep up with the exercise as you will see a proper difference soon...if not in the waistline then definitely in the amount of stairs you can climb without getting out of breath.
Start measuring yourself as well...you may not have lost pounds but you may have lost inches.
A healthy lifestyle takes a long time to become second nature and will have its ups and downs0 -
Welcome Vixtress,
You thinking of following any particular sort of plan?

Well done to all that have had losses this week :j ...
...Victory I was sorry to read your posts and as I can't be half as eloquent as the others here, I'll just say that they have spoken a lot of sense (something I don't have!). However the thing that worries me is ......I have a secret stash of milk choc biscuits...The other night I wanted a proper bacon sandwich, H said go for it, no big issue, so I had it but came into the living room for H to see two slices of white bread and a few bits of bacon...while in the kitchen I HAD eaten 4 other bits of bread and more bacon but did not want him to see ...
I see me as dysfunctional:rolleyes: everyone else seems to be happy with the younger slimmer version of their daughter/sister in law/mum whatever but not me...
If you are eating like this, how are you still managing to lose 3lb per week these last two weeks? Are you eating properly the rest of the time? With a BMI of about 21 it would seem to me that you must have really cut down your intake to way below your BMR needs. If this is the case, please, please be careful
I went down that path many years ago and ended up having treatment.

Hiya
Very quick one, just heard on the local radio, of www.mysupermarket.co.uk the guy that runs it, was been interviewed and basically its a middle man for online shopping, but ...
you can create your shopping list and click on a button and it will compare and suggest healthier alternatives for you. They reckon around 4000 calories on a weekly shop. It also does price comparasion too. Once your happy with your shop you click a button and your taken to the supermarket you chose, be it Sainsbury, Tesco.
