Ah granny nise, what indeed did I do. (quickly checks and can't see any sign of the bitey boot near by).
Bouyed by my sucessful weigh in of a 2lb loss last night I continued to resist them. This morning I worked out that each one was 'only 6 syns', not as bad as the 10.5 syn one I had on my birthday (both the official an unofficial one) So cut one in half and ate it. Enjoyed it. Sweet tooth sated (I really don't have a mega sweet tooth luckily), I divied them up it to his and MINE and cut mine in half and froze them:D . IF I go mad in the night and sneak down for one, I shall def throw them away (but it would be impossible for me to eat more than one whole one at a time given my low sweet tooth). But I reckon 3 syns for an occasional sweet meat is ok. I might still donate them to OH if they prove too much of a temptation becasue I would still rather use my syns in other ways, but trying to help him watch his intake of sugar and fat too.
Determined to lose a lb this week and reach 1.5 stone. Had two friends round this evening who I haven't seen for 2 months and they both asked if i had lost weight and that I was looking good :D . Further incentive. Told me my jeans were looking baggy on me: these are the ones I only got back in to last month :j .

Lois: sorry you are still poorly. Thanks for all your work with the chart and for organising us all. I don't feel able to volunteer myself at the mo but I'm fairly sure someone will step forward to give you you much deserved break.

Hi Lois. Sorry you are still feeling poorly. I am happy to do the chart going forward, if you want to hand it over to me. Or delly - she did a grand job in your absense.
  • Hi everyone
Well this week I've managed to lose 0.6kg, ie about 1.5 pounds, bringing my total loss so far to 10.5lbs. Had a bit of a rough week last week, but seem to be back on track again now. Well done to everyone who lost weight and maintained.
Lois I am really sorry you're not well, get better soon. x
efrieze thanx so much for doing the chart, I really love looking at it as it keeps me motivated.

    Cheers

  • Lois - I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling very well. I have absolutely no problems with taking on the chart for a while if everyone feels that it is still useful and I know how to work it.

I have to admit, I'd feel a bit of a fraud starting the new thread when I've only been on here such a short time. Can I suggest efrieze that you take on the new thread? Or one of our other successful members. I think it'd be a great incentive for new posters to see your sigs on the first post.

votes from other members of the thread please!

  • ok folks, for one week only the 2lb club is going to be posted on tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

We can decide if you still want the chart kept later. Can everyone please PM me with your weightlosses since last Thursday as I doubt I'll be able to trawl through the last 20 pages to find them.

If anyone has already PM'd me since last weeks chart, I've already got the changes made.

  • Ok first week and a disappointing 1 pound off. But to behonest I didn't give it my all. So this week I am going to keep a food diary and try some more home cooking. Got a quiet weekend planned not hectic like last one so this should help. Fingers crossed.:p

p.s please keep the chart going I was looking forward to seeing my name in lights so to speak...thanks.

Lois sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. I fully understand you are giving up the chart it must be so much hard work (I do the MFIT chart and that is only every 3 months). I wanted to thank you for doing it and for being such a movitation on here. I have now been around for over 1 year and it has really helped me.

Will try to come on here more often however off to a christening in Denmark Friday so will be after that. Take care all and thanks again to Lois.

petrichor I find with my kids the same as with what happened with your mum, if you don't tell them what is in it and they can't see it they do not have a chance to say'yuck I don't like that' they just gobble it all up and hey presto another food in disguise passed the test:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: there was no way they would have eaten the homemade coleslaw if they had seen it;)
