  • Just after a little more advise on making low fat crisps I have heard of using lasagne sheets and also using tortilla wraps
    Anyone got any recipes ?

    Many thanks
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something

I just lost a whole post:mad: anyway here goes again.....:D

seren thanks for the confidence sites, I have read hundreds of books and web pages in my time, if a new book/idea etc comes out I am there reading it but it is more than that has to come from within...I act as if I have more confidence than people realise and that way it is not so noticeable:D

Thanks everyone for the kind helpful words, I have sorted it all out now as virgos do as we are very practical, organized and like all the questions answered:rotfl: :rotfl:

seren The maintanence idea is fantastic and yes suggs let's do it:T :T the only thing I would say is could it be next to the weight loss number as I would not want to go on the chart and see a 0 only, I would like to see the 76 lb loss and then either 0 or +1 -! or whatever, can that be done?

Well done suggs more weight off you maintainer you:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Well done jen :j :j

SUGGS OH chat went very well, he now understands that it is hard for me to maintain now as it was then to loose, we are def going to the harvester this evening early so we get 1/3 rd off(very MSN!!), he is very relieved and pleased that my mother has been cancelled to just a day trip as he saw it as a doomed week before she had even arrived:o

I have had a bacon sandwich today as one poster said to try something like thatand see how much trust was in me, so I DID, I had the one and enjoyed it , no hiding of bread or bacon, no guilt, wanted it, liked it, enjoyed it, done!

petrichor i can appreciate what you are saying about the hiding food etc but I have worked out what it was, just me being a petulant child because I thought H and others would say I can't have it and if I can't have it well I am having it:rotfl: :rotfl: the bread is gone, the biscuits happily handed over to the kids, all the food is out in the open again, no secret stashes, no hiding, I can see where that can lead to and not prepared to go down that road...

feisty It is hard, no two ways about it but you can do it, treat yourself as your very own best friend, if your best friend came to you and asked for help to loose weight you would not turn them away, you would do all you could to help them, to see them happy, content, healthy, treat yourself as your best friend, aim for something that is realistic, that you can achieve, like a 2lb weight loss or to be a certain weight by a certain time or to wear that outfit you have seen on the tele, in a mag, don't let yourself down as you would not your best friend, you have the ability to be the best you want to be, you can do it, believe in yourself as you would a best friend, be your best friend.

petrichor just a quick clear up as have re-read your post...the 3lb weight loss per week is achieved because I have kept the eating real tight, the bacon/bread/hidden choc biscuits stash was 1 time in the week only, I had all the bread and bacon and had one biscuit...it has all gone now (bin/kids/eaten) so it is all in the open.

I am quite lucky being diabetic in a way because when you put the insulin on you have to stick to what you have put on in ratio to your food, so I cannot for example just decide however much I want to, to have some more food, bigger portion of it etc because the insulin will not cover the surprise and the blood sugar numbers will shoot up, I will feel awful and it is not worth it, so really snacking, sneaking about etc is out and it has to be followed more rigidly because of that....

I have been eating all the WW and cook yourself thin (which was not on last night!!) recipes ....

weigh-in is any day you like during the week, it's purely individual. The chart is updated on Wednesdays.

In that case, I'll make WI today - please miss, please miss - I've lost 1lb! :j

Must be the one-handed typing ... vigorous exercise having a baby around ;)

victory - never been in your position so no advice but :grouphug: for you

    Hi

I am desperate to lose weight (need to lose 4st ish) and I am finding it all very confusing, I have looked about on here but there seems to be so many posts and clubs and recipe threads, but I can't seem to get them into any order.........

One main question of mine is.....Is there anywhere I can find out about or get hold of a book etc. for the guidelines/ins an outs of Slimming World, I think I might like this one but I can't really afford to join and attend meetings

    Mel x

    Hi Mel

I sent you a PM I have the book but found SW didn't work for me  - I am happy for it to go to a good home!

This is really really good news Dragon :j . Well done for going back to him and getting the result you needed and deserved. Hopefully, this will be the first step in things improving for you.

Victory, these 2 paragraphs make me very very happy for you: :j
