Wembley puts you off eating as it is £7.50 for a cheeseburger and chips!!!!!!!! £5.50 for a hot dog!!! No, bought nothing, had dinner before I went so drank or ate nothing from the money robbing...;)

Given that there's all this talk about a meet, how about something else community minded? I use the Nigella forum a lot and every couple of months they do swap boxes. The budget is £10-£15. Basically you pick a co-ordinator who takes addresses and then sorts it out into a list so that a sends to b, b sends to c, etc etc. It's up to you what you put in the box - My last one went to sweden so I included a book of yorkshire recipes, some tea from betty's stuff like that. It's enormous fun and so exciting to get a parcel. I would be happy to organise this if people were interested - perhaps we could do it for christmas?

Sounds a bit like the Secret Sister/Sibling thing that happens on one of the stitching groups I belong too.

If people like the idea I would be prepared to help organise (after my move!) and set up a thread on the "I wanna" forum

Feeling pretty chuffed with myself tonight. Went to do a MS at a well known GYm and managed 10 miles on the bike, I cycled there and back so have clocked up 13.7 miles today - didn't have time to stay for hours. Then did another MS tonight at a pub and stuck with chicken salad. I did pinch 1/2 of hubbys small naan bread and a couple of chips but I've had no desert except for a mango and I had d-coke.
I am so hoping for a good loss monday!
    Right off to polish halo:T
Hope everyone else has good weekend, doing another MS tomorrow at a restaurant so I hope will power will stay focused for me!!

Yep, Lois PM'd me and asked me to amend it. T'was done yesterday. You guys will have to bear with me when I'm doing this and I apologise for any mistakes in advance.

Well done on step counting your round of golf. I'm sure it'll earn you a great many bonus points. I've found my little 2.97 pedometer has turned out to be a tempramental piece of cr*p. Petrichor I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. I might see if my WW leader can get one of the points pedometer (tells you the bonus points you've earned with the walking you've done). They're great at getting in all the food stuffs but you need to make a special request for the scales/calculator/pedometer and recipie book.

Annie - even reading your posts makes me exhausted. The most I can manage at the minute is walking the dog for the required 40-60 minutes per day (recommended for her breed). I was watching Dog Borstal during the week and the 23kg cocker spaniel really frightened me, so I weighed my fluffy ginger pigdog and she needs to lose 3kg:eek: (not as much as the dog on the telly but still shocking). Well done you on managing to fit so much exercise into your daily routine. It should really be starting to show.

Off to watch a movie but the swap boxes sound great. Catch up with you all later.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

    :hello: Hi folks
Never seem to have time to read all the posts on this thread as I rarely pop on more than once or twice a week, :p but HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lois!
Currently trying hard to remain awake as DS had birthday party this afternoon which is then traditionally followed by his one multi-sleepover of the year (4 13yo's have taken over my living room armed with li-lo's, couch cushions and mattresses from upstairs)_pale_ . Unfortunately, being the trusting mother that I am means I like to be the last one asleep so I end up being out of the way but still within earshot until they all cave in.:D As the in thing is to aim for an 'all-nighter' this has been known to be around 6.30am in the past and, as I only had about 5 hours sleep last night, it's looking like being a long shift! :o Any other nightbirds out there? ;)
Having a very bad couple of days, with rich chocolate bday cake, pizza, chicken burger & chips, crisps and wine all involved in far larger measures than they ought to be! Just finished a funsize aero too, and the others in the jar are continuing to call me. Worst thing is I usually combat these nibbles when they hit by making myself go to bed......

Can't undo all the good I have done in just week 3!!!!!!

    Help!!!!

Edited to add I have also had my pedometer bite the dust and it is only adding about a quarter of the steps I actually do, even though they haven't been as many as they ought to be!

I totally understand where you're coming from about food, if I have a long day ahead of me I'm the same (I'm also the same if I've been off the rails a couple of days - just try for day 1 tomorrow again).

Last night OH had pizza and oven chips whilst I went for the healthy option, was completely fed up and ate far too much food. If I'd had the same as my OH I think I probably wouldn't have eaten as much afterwards - a difficult lesson to learn as I have 9 points to pull back before my WI on Monday. It's just as well for me I had 7 points saved from this week. (already managed 3 by taking the dog for a walk. I've also saved 3 from today).

My DS isn't 2 until October so I've got the sleepover thing all ahead of me, but I just have to share this - we've put him into a junior bed from the cot last week and he discovered last night that although we put him to bed at 8, it doesn't mean he has to go to sleep. I found him tonight sitting at the top of the stairs (I have a gate) on an upside down wastepaper basket reading his book - it was all I could do not to laugh. I can't imagine what he's going to get up to when he's bigger

I've found that over the past few days my pedometer has started to do the same thing (see earlier post). I used to have a brilliant one I got from Avon years ago but can't find it - that's why I'm going for the WW one.

Too late, DB - the second funsize aero sneaked up and hijacked me when I wasn't looking!!! :o Would make DS hide them from me but then I risk he and his pals being ill when they've eaten them all in one sitting!

    .

Oh it is a lovely age - all innocence and sweet smiles!
Don't worry - he will be up to much worse before he is finished! (And some of them you will be even harder pushed not to laugh at! Or cringe at:o
My children's first headmaster promised us all that if we would only believe half of what they told us went on at school, he would only believe one third of what they said went on at home.....
