why oh why doesn't mse like short messages....!

    me too!:rotfl:

ajax when I had pizza last friday night, I used one of Iceland's pizza's, I just pointed it and counted the points. Sending Oh to the freezer to point one. 4.5 points for 1/4 of Iceland italian stonebaked pepperoni pizza (£1.50)
8 points for half of an iceland thin & crispy chicken pizza (80p)

If you want to be really fussy - you can use a mini pitta bread (1 1/2 points) with tomato puree (free) any veg you like (free) and point up your portion of half fat cheese (2 points for 30g), so a mini pitta pizza would be 3 1/2 points.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

I agree with you Delly...I also googled (did I mention that I'm good at procrastinating?) her and I don't think she was just rude to Ajax...she's annoyed a lot of people and sounds very self-important and generally aggressive...some people are just meanies...

....I'd just been thinking this, but the pittas we have are 3 1/2 points each. That's not too drastic though as they are quite big and so with half fat cheese would be quite filling. I didn't know that puree was free, I was going to use passata, but can mix the two quite happily now (puree on its own is a bit tart for my liking).

So with the 'pizza' coming in at 5.5 points for bread and cheese.... peppers, onions, passata/puree, chilis being free and an experimental sprinkle of quorn mince being negligible, that leaves 4.5 points for chips out of the 10 I allow for the biggest meal of the day. 4.5 points is about 275g of frozen WW oven chips? Sounds great. Jeez, my mouth is almost watering now.

can now join the losing posts club! grrrrrrr

Seren, well done on achieving your sticker and resisting the chocolate. I find that if I tell myself I can have some at a later date - like the weekend or when i get home - it staves off the urges there and then. Delly I am going all gooey over your little wow-wow she is just gorgeous! I had to laugh at her nickname though as it is the same nickname that my 'grandad'(nana's 2nd husband) had for my little bro. Mine was s!!!face.

Sorry to hear abou your poorly birthday BB, I hope you really enjoyed your shortbread, you deserved it. Bails, I too am a non drinker but not from any diet choices - I get sick and dizzy in the space of a couple of drinks so I generally just don't bother. Means that I am always last off the dance floor as noone else can keep up!

TC got your pm and will look out for that soon. Congrats on your weight loss, you should be very proud of yourself. I won't be around much this weekend as OH is organising a 40s event in Barnsley so I'll putting on my red lippie and seamed stockings and spending the weekend swinging!** The 40s look takes ages but it is terribly glamourous and I'm getting quite attached to my snood. No-one can tell when you last washed your hair and the best thing is that that's the whole point!

    That's swing DANCING chaps, sorry to disappoint you . . . .

.... do any of you pizza-makers do WW? Do you make or buy your bases? Big omelette and chips for 8 points was great last night so would love to have pizza and chips.

Well I make mine from scratch - they are so easy to do. I did once try the ready made bases and I'm afraid I didn't like it at all (bit pricey too).

    In short:
    500g strong flour
    1 sachet fast yeast
bit of salt, also I like to add italian dried herbs to my bases for flavour
1 or 2 tablespoons of oil (I've forgotten to add the oil before now and it didnt seem to affect the dough too much)
and enough warm water to make a soft (but not sticky) dough.

mix, knead, cover and then set aside somewhere warm for 2 hrs. Then re-knead and divide into portions (makes 3 pizzas for me - but they are large ... so maybe more like 4 average size pizzas).

I usually make double and freeze little bagfuls. I roll my bases out really thin - I just prefer them that way. I use tomato paste mixed with a little water and then top with tomatoes, mushrooms, pineapple or whatever. Then a sprinkle of cheese ... yum!
