Hi all :hello:
Delly - your pigdog is absolutely gorgeous, I want one! I've always loved Cockers (Ajax - behave), and it's my ambition to have a black one and a gold one, but probably not until I'm retired.
Lois I have to admit - I'd love a black one too ...( now, now ajax, control yourself). In fact, If I hadn't had DS, I'd definitley have 2 cockers now.....lol. and I'm loving "the wrath of grapes! - excellent maybe ajax should make that his sig following his absymal 5lb loss!delly, remarkable similarities. Our MSE dog Bailey (otherwise known as kn*bhead, and answers to it) is pictured below. The words that he's saying at the time translate roughly to "throw that frikking ball in your hand will yer?"
ajaxMy Oh has an amazingly similar sense of humour to yours (and he'd really love to be a rocket scientist but has to make do with episodes of Battlestar Galactica)... sorry, I've just been corrected (OH reading over my shoulder) - he says he's a space cadet! (true too!).
bails I think it's petrichor who's sworn off the demon drink. I think it's probably a good idea if you can't limit yourself to one or two small glasses of wine at a time. Good luck with it - I know I couldn't do it for very long
Right - off to bed, have a great Friday everyone and I'll see you after the tiny terrors birthday party. BTW thanks for the warning about ringworm Grannynise - don't think I'll look at a rice crispie bun the same way ever again!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Please dear Lois could I be in the challenge too? I did put myself on the list but my name must have evaporated.
BB, what a horrid birthday. When you feel a bit better I think you should just have another one. (but don't be a year older, obviously)0 -
What a great idea Grannynise - let us know when you're better BB and we'll arrange a party!
Loving the dogs - did you name yours after me Ajax?- desperate to get one but have to be patient til we get back from big Asia trip, grr... I want a collie but my OH wants a wolf (no, really!).

Hi KPC ...very true ... my HM pizza is pretty healthy since it has very little cheese on - the rest is just tomato paste and vegetables. But, I have made progress:
Yesterday we had HM pizza again (it is very popular in this house and as DH is off work - who am I to argue:rolleyes: ) Well this time I only had 4 small peices and loaded my plate up with veggies to fill the gap! Feeling quite pleased with myself as I have now lost 4lbs in just under a week:j I don't think it is a rate of loss which is sustainable. I was hoping to lose about 2lbs per week ... but then I am eating quite a bit still and making sure to have some light snacks too ... so I'm far from starving myself.
BTW - I've pm'd youajaxgeezer wrote: ».....was gonna suggest a personal smaller plate as I was halfway through reading - you beat me to it.
Since DH is home - I've tended to prepare the meals and DH tends to serve up. I've now given strict instructions NOT to use the big pasta bowls (even he agrees they definately encourage you to have disproportionately large quantities.ajaxgeezer wrote: »Would it help to sort the kids first, then relax with your own?
Not quite there yet - but yesterday was certainly an improvement. Made sure to sit down from beginning to end of my meal (nope - didn't jump up once!) and concentrate on it. It did make me eat less - infact I felt full so I gave my last slice of pizza to the kids:A
a big HELLO to everyone else. You lot make me :rotfl: it always picks me up to come on here and read your posts. BB happy (belated) birthday. Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well. Hope your better soon (I'd post a hug ... but cant find the smilie)

... sounds like your small but significant habitual changes are having a good effect. I call these "low hanging fruit"... the things that are relatively easy to put right but have a big impact. It's great that you're sounding so chipper about it all.Delly - your pigdog is absolutely gorgeous, I want one! I've always loved Cockersdellybelly wrote: »I'd definitley have 2 cockers now.

.. he's a space cadet? Wassat then?
Grannynise I asked the better half and she tells me we definitely have both of our old SW books so you can definitely have one of everything in the pack. I'll PM you.
bails we didn't name Bailey, didn't see the point in renaming a fella who'd lived his whole life with one name already. As it happens, Bailey was also MrsA's maiden name.0 -
