.... tried to use it bails but couldn't think of anything that I regularly spend frivolously on. Got stuck at the first hurdle lol. The closest thing was wine, and to be honest if I had to live life without wine then... well, that's no life. :p

Had a great MS day overall though - latest stooze of £5700 came through and went straight into reducing the balance on my BTL. 2% over 8 months BT fee compared to 6.74% over the same time is a bit of a no-brainer. Got it in with the mortgage company in time for September reduction. Also ordered 12 x 1.5 litres of wine with 1000 clubcard points thrown in. The equivalent of 18 standard bottles of wine for £62 inc delivery and £40 off next years holiday, which will be totally paid for by Mr T and clubcard.

    I love MSE :D

Ajax, you'll be horrified to know I've decided to give up alcohol for a while! Got steaming yesterday - went out for a birthday lunch and got home at 6.30am!!

I know it's easy to say with a raging hangover but once I'm a few weeks in it won't be so bad. I am allowing myself to have the champagne we bought in France on our anniversary (only 2nd one Grannynise, and we're not married, hence the hand holding :D) but that's it. I did it for 6 months in my final year at uni (my friends all thought I was a right strange fish and refused to let me come to the pub with them - I'm hoping they've matured by now!). Will keep it up til New Year and then see how I feel.

There's someone else on here who's given up too isn't there? I figure it'll help with the weight loss, it's easier to go tee total than have a little (for me) and best of all, it will help speed up my recovery, so I can go back to work which is most important of all.

I will definitely need some help not to fall off the wagon though!

(I'm also going to have a go at the stoozing thing from October, is it easy?)

    Hi all :hello:

Delly - your pigdog is absolutely gorgeous, I want one! I've always loved Cockers (Ajax - behave), and it's my ambition to have a black one and a gold one, but probably not until I'm retired.

Petrichor - I love your rhymes, they're great. My birthday is coming up soon... hint hint ;) (it's on the 8th).

Holly - you had a great weight loss last week and your sub conscious is now telling you that you've got some leeway! Don't worry, you won't have done too much damage as long as you get straight back on track.

Furrypig - welcome back, and well done for losing weight while you were away! :T

Honey - I'm kind of pleased to hear that one of your posts disappeared, because that keeps happening to me. I typed a really long post on Tuesday, but last night it was mysteriously gone! At least I know it's not just me. Well done for the running.

Bindiboo - Happy Birthday for the other day, and well done for posting your pics, you look great.

Suggs - welcome back, pleased to hear you had a good holiday. Mrs Suggs could have a point about the pressurised cabin making you heavier - it certainly seems to have that affect on me. I'm impressed at you losing 10 pounds in such a short time.

Ajax - pleased to see you've got over the embarassment of ONLY losing 5lbs ;) and I really feel for you having to reduce your points from 28 to 25! Do you realise that lots of us poor females only have 23 points or less to play with every week! (I don't do sympathy - ask the DH and kids.)

Bails - just remember, a hangover is the wrath of grapes :D

It's Friday tomorrow, already, where did the week go? I've got a challenging and busy weekend ahead, with a wedding on Saturday and a christening on Sunday, so I'll really need to get in touch with my motivation, will power, self control etc. Wish me luck.

I'm back to Brighton tomorrow so I'll look out for you ;)

Lois ~Did I say that I love your new quote?

    Thanks Beanie

I do think that we can spend too much time worrying about the future instead of making the most of now. I don't know about you, but when I was younger I put off doing loads of things, promising myself I'd do them "when I was slim".

... ah but remember - the only reason we get more is because we use them faster. If that weren't the case, we simply wouldn't get them. Poor you (plural)? I don't do sympathy - just ask MrsA ;)

I love that LL, brilliant! And good luck with the weekend, I'm sure you'll be strong.

Also, can you please add me to the Challenge? I have added myself twice already but must've got lost along the way. As I'm not here I'll give you a weight next Monday and then a final one for the month when I get back.

    Thanks a lot x

Sorry to tell you but he is a she - her name is Sasha

She's a little pigdog because she needs to lose weight (like her owner). Most cocker spaniels are quite skinny buy my wee doggie has a broad back (my excuse and I'm sticking to it) Her sire was also broader than the average cocker. Hopefully we'll both be getting into shape soon (hoping to have a litter of pups in the spring - from Sasha not me!:rotfl: )

delly, remarkable similarities. Our MSE dog Bailey (otherwise known as kn*bhead, and answers to it) is pictured below. The words that he's saying at the time translate roughly to "throw that frikking ball in your hand will yer?"

... oh beanie, have you checked that you can display pictures in your preferences on here? If that's ok, just give it a little time to load. Sasha really is a cutiepie.
