Its no use...the power of the sticker is decreasing by the minute....gah!

Does anyone else get brain sabotage?... seems like the hardest day for me is the day after the weigh in if I've lost....how does anyone else combat this...

(have taken off shoes under desk to prevent me walking anywhere which might dispense chocolate...so weak-willed):EasterBun

I find it is about 2 hours after the gym, and I had alredy eaten salad and drunk fulids, the sweet tooth then attacks. I have loads of yoguarts in the fridge for this :)

I guess the after weighin feeling is because 'I have got it over and done with feeling, so time to reward myself'

I cant suggest what to do, as when this feeling hits, something has to be eaten/done otherwise the feeling stays and increases. No fruit around or something else to take the edge off?

    Have a hug instead :grouphug:

    Hi

    Hope everyone's ok.

I had such a bad day yesterday,:o we went to Folly Farm for the day and I just ate and ate and ate and ate ( i think you get the picture;) )
I'm terrified i'm going to have put on weight on Sunday when i weigh.
Please tell me one day won't make that much difference:confused:
    I've been good today

One bad day isn't going to ruin your entire diet holly and that fact that you were good yesterday is all that matters:T . If we denied ourselves such treats we would soon tire of the whole thing and fall off the wagon completely, THAT would be bad ;) ...

...Ajax Can you spill the beans re the stoozing please, I could do with 2 or 3 grand + + ;) I've heard of it, but some of the other boards aren't as friendly as this one is to newcomers, so I'd rather ask a nice peep like yourself :D ...

...Strength serendisglair!!! You do not want that choc because it is special fat attracting chocolate that will go straight to your hips. I know what, desperate but TRY SNIFFING YOUR SHOES!! :rotfl: Buy some options drink, it gives you the taste but not the calories:D ...

...DD is off to that big city yon far horizon, where the streets are paved with gold, goes by the name of Londinium methinks. It's a 2 week training course (home at the weekend so a load of washing then). She's bought a stack of new trousers all of which need to be shortened and it's a job that I absolutely hate, but necessary as she's only 4'11". So I don't want any of you making me laugh this afternoon otherwise she'll end up with wonky legs :rotfl:

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

I generally have a naughty night on the weigh in night itself. I know I'm going to want something bad sometime so I just get it out of the way. That way the rest of the week is there to feel focused, due to the guilt.... and you've given yourself the most time possible to recover.

....hehe you smooth talker. Some of the folks on some of the boards are vile here. I gave a girl a bit of advice (blinking good advice too, and subsequently repeated by everyone else who replied) about why her bank had not screwed up her account and her rejoinder was to tell me to "trot on" - I shouldn't be sitting in front of my computer, I had to lose another stone and had no right to tell a healthy person what I thought. All becuase she had nothing to complain to her bank about.

Stoozing in its most basic form is to borrow money on a credit card and save it at a higher interest rate than you are paying on the credit card. There are all sorts of variations and considerations, but if you want to know more then come into my PM lair :) Just let me know x

EDIT - if you want to make quick money, it is worth having a read (and then another read and then another read) of the matched betting forum. It's not difficult to make a grand in a month with very little risk if you are careful. Unlike stoozing, matched betting is not risk-free.

The Boss, otherwise known as Martin Lewis, is on Jerermy Vine's show on Radio 2 at the moment, talking about stoozing - you could do listen again.

Crumbs....I never thought people could be so rude!....so glad the peeps on here are a nice bunch otherwise I would have ran screaming back into a vat of apple crumble.

Thanks you all for your advice I sniffed the shoes, put em back on and trotted down the shops for a fruit salad and then made myself think about how disappointed I would be if I had actually munched my way through the chocolate bar....(I think I crave the idea of chocolate more than the actual reality so always feel worse after munching it)...besides petrichor scared me with the until know little known 'special fat attracting chocolate'....which then made me email my friend so she'll make me go down the gym tomorrow morning.....

I shall now have a cuppa and covet my next sticker (Ooooo....I have a 3-d bumble bee one!!) then I guess some work should figure into my day....stupid presentations....world would be a better place without them...grrr...

Thanks again for listening to my mad sticker obsessed ramblings

Ajax, find us that hideous woman and we'll duff her up for you, cheeky mare! Why are some people so horrible? Like they're prefect, and when you were trying to help her too. GGRRRRRR!

Only had one horrible encounter with someone moaning about me being on benefits, ripping all tax payers off etc etc, depsite my post being about how I could get back to work asap. They had a flea in their ear I can tell you!!

Have had a look at stoozing and it looks good so will be trying it fdrom Oct. Haven't quite got my head round matched betting yet but it's also on my to-do list.

Serendis, I think both Petrichor and Ajax's advice are great for the future but they don't solve your immediate problem. I may get shouted down for this but maybe you could have a bar of chocolate? :eek:I'm not really for rewarding yourself with food (sends out wrong signals psychology wise) but I do believe if you really want something it is far better to have a little of it and really enjoy it, rather than trying to resist and eating loads of other stuff instead.

Having one bar will satisfy your craving and then you can carry on having a good day and week.

What do other peeps think? (please don't kick me out of here!:D)x

it's just the "pity poor me" brigade disappointed that she couldn't claim for something. She got her answer too, and both posts were subsequently removed :D (at my request, I should say)

.... stoozing will slightly impair your credit score, so bear that in mind. Only get new cards if you know for sure that you won't need to apply for any credit for the forseeable, even a mobile phone contract. If you want a matched betting ... (hmm, what's three steps down from a masterclass?:D )... class then just PM me, I'm happy to see my buddies make money. It's not for the nervous or careless though, really isn't.

.....I agree with this bit :D . If you really want it and if it fits in with the balanced diet and if it is the daily treat and if it is the best available chocolate bar i.e. not taking a yorkie when a milky way is available then get stuck in and have it. Job done, and as you say it fills the hole.
