Hiya turtles back in the land of saving money.

Just trying to catch up with your news. Will read properly tonight as last day of month in work - busy time.

Messymare - get yourself to the Dr's blacking out not a good thing.

Welshkitty - aww speeding fine - let us know where. How annoying.

Well loved London and Fleetwood Mac were awesome 24 songs and they could have got on all night. Got a bit choked up and tearful at some of the songs so good. Daughter was the same. Chatty with the audience which was refreshing as some bands don't say a word. London audience lot more lively than Manchester few years back where no one stood up. Glad to say everyone stood and bounced about.

Don't think I spent too much either, had a free meal in TGI's as complained about the server being obnoxious, not usually like me to complain either. Anyway manager came over and scribbled through the bill and said he would take care of it. Very happy bunny.

Only really bought one other meal as we had breakfast included in the hotel.

We saw Thriller theatre show which was really good, few cocktails before half price. Well we were on our holidays. Did river cruises, changing of the guard, Elvis Exhibition( dragged by daughter) was alright, not brilliant.

Cheer up Bob you will bounce back, can see budgeting with uncertain trade must be extremely difficult.

Thifty ouch kids and teeth, at least just milk teeth, hope it checks out ok. My daughter when she was little jumped banged my front crown, split lengthways so I ended up with a bridge. Nightmare.

Well better do some payments oops x

Okay, so the June thread is up, and I sneaked a peek.

I've gone and done a loan overpayment already, because today is payday, and you turtles are right, if I don't do it now it won't happen. £70 - saves me £17 in interest. :)

Telling you now as I am at the in-laws this weekend, so won't be online.
    Keep reading books!

Evening all! Wishus, that's great, that will make such a difference to the overall amount. Calling, I'm jealous, Fleetwood Mac are awesome :)
Not a NSD today as I'm meeting a friend for tea (she eats late - 10pm - I eat early - 5pm - so we've compromised with meeting at 7!). I have £20 to spend and I'm intending to stick to it. Really glad it's the weekend!

Hubby and I just had a sit down session working out next month's budget. The left over monies from the envelopes will be rolled out to June, or accumulated to build up a pot for future needs or emergencies, some were already diverted to the cash ISA savings and cc payments. We had £475 left over this month which is £120 more than April's. Hurrah. Can't be more pleased.

Hubby has been to the bank to withdraw the money to put in individual envelopes.

Over the last few weeks I have been a bit worried about June as I will be changing jobs which means a lower pay and a month's delay in salaries. i was also starting to have second thoughts whether to take this permanent post due to the reasons above but now that hubby and I have worked out June's budget, I am a bit more confident of my decision. It will not be as easy as the previous months but with a bit more discipline and determination we will make it, fingers crossed.

Finally just want to share what my friend on FB posted on his wall just now. (He and his wife just recently had their LBM and we have been supporting each other with our debt-busting journeys)

Calling - Was Stevie amazing? I love her so much. There is a show on Netflix called American Horror, & she has quite a big cameo in season 3 as a witch! She is fantastic in that.
What did the server at TGI do to be so obnoxious? Id love to know. Well done for complaining.
Thanks for the kind words as well. :D

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All
Well today was fairly good although have been like a zombie. Thankfully it was quite busy so have just had to power through. Finally home & running a big bubble bath.
I tackled the first stage in bill payments tonight, so the mins are done on everything & all money is where it needs to be for the 1st. Reconcilled both sets of accounts as far as possible, amended spreadsheets & updated spending app.
The inlaws left today after doing a wonderful job this week looking after our son. I have found them low maintainance, and my only beef is having to cook a nice meal each night as I felt that was the least I could do, but if they hadnt been here I'd just have thrown a pizza on some nights, but I cant complain. Tonight I shall be mostly feasting on leftovers, they brought some lovely cheeses with them, & that plus crusty bread & salad should be a really nice friday night nibble.
I did do one thing for me today, which was to order my sons class photograph. Not cheap at £13.50 but priceless really.

Ok well Im off to soak.

    Night all.

    Bob

Bob Stevie Nicks was as good as ever, never seen Christine Mcvie live before such a talent accordion playing as well, incredibly hard instrument to play, I have tried in the past. Star of the show for me Lyndsey Buckingham tears rolling down my face everytime he took centre stage and I not usually an emotional person.

Bob the server just was very rude, took the order, my daughters drink arrived, my coffee didn't arrive until my meal turned up, no apology, banged down on the table and shouted at me 'do you want milk?' Had ordered it with milk. Never came back to see how our meals were, wasn't busy he was just busy chatting to the other servers. I wouldn't have complained but he was equally as rude to an old couple sat by us. My daughter worked in Disney and it took 3 months training to become a server, this country has alot to learn about customer service. Had a good chat with the manager as hate to get someone in trouble but he deserved it. Meals weren't great either, how can they call caramelised onions seasonal veg!!! I think that swung the free meals.
