Thank you for sharing syn, and you have definitely mastered the art of reflection
caeraugirl I think you are right about the crossroads, I'm just not sure how big the crossroads are yet, if that makes any sense?!
Bob OH has these bursts of enthusiasm and goes head on at something and then quickly loses interest. In many ways he is a very chilled out person and the total opposite to me. Sometimes this has worked in our favour but at the moment I feel like he is too chilled out to bother making a life for us.
Ho hum!
I'm off to bed to try and sleep off my sleepiness. I managed without a nap today but have been falling asleep on and off all afternoon.
Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. There is only one 'real world' person who knows any of this so sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in my own thoughts with no chance to get them out.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Aww Fmess feel for you. Syn has captured it well, supposed to be a partnership if it's not, it's up to you to change it or escape. Been there and my life is richer now, not monetary unfortunately.
Had busy day spent in Lidls. Went to the zoo, took picnic, bit blustery there. Got really bad tickly throat and lumps on my tongue. Disadvantages of a snotty 3yr old hugs!
Anyway not that I Am counting but 4 days to go!!!
Off to bed, pigged out on lots of sweets for my throat and chocolate biccies. I just can't diet, walked loads today what was the point.

Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of posting.
Basically, post-holiday has been very stressful. MY future MIL has been unwell and the word lymph nodes was mentioned for the first time. When we went down to visit she also kept saying things like life is so short sometimes and that we might come into money soon. It was really quite scary.
OH's grandad is beginning to struggle at home (thankfully his son lives with him) and has had an eye operation with a further one soon.
And lastly (and I am sorry to say most importantly), my granny took very unwell on holiday in Spain. She ended up having bowel surgery over there. She is almost 85 and has had previous bowel cancer. There was not a doctor available over the weekend so we have to wait until tomorrow to find out if the bit they removed is just old scarring or if it is something "sinister".
I struggled with this really quite badly as she phoned her kids the night before her operation and I felt it was her saying goodbye. So I wasn't really coping.
It has taken me a long time to come to terms with what all is going on which is why I haven't really posted that much.
Without sounding bad and nasty... but money saving just becomes kinda insignificant and unimportant.
Sorry if that sounds awful, I promised myself that I would be honest and it's the truth.
:undecided
Erm... can't remember when we last spent money or how many spend-free days. We haven't spent anything since we went shopping when we got back on like the 6th or 7th. So, that's not too bad. No way are we going to reach 20 though.
Have been thinking about your thing apple muncher... but I just can't think of very much just now. Sorry.
Fmess... I hope you can figure out your future and know what you want to do. Hugs to you.

Stewby health comes before money. Sounds as if you have so much to deal with at moment. Take some time out to chill.
I was like that last year and my mind was all over the place.

Hi all...
I'm just dropping in to say a BIG apology for disappearing off the boards last month... or was it the month before... Had loads going on personally - and now coming out the other side...
Moved house *again* on Saturday - and this time it's for keeps I hope. After my relationship meltdown at xmas, and being landed with a flat I couldn't afford after my ex moved out - I've lived close to the line the last few months enjoying my own space again for the first time in years - but realsing I couldn't hope to sustain a place that cost (with bills) £850.00 p/m!!!
I'm now back house sharing... but it's a good thing!!! I'm so fortunate to have some great friends that I now live with - an amazing annexe withing a beautiful home... and I'm going to be able to SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!
After getting myself out of debt - I then had to borrow to get a deposit for the last place, then furniture etc etc... then had car tax, MOT, service hit me last month - so am in debt... but only just.
I owe £350.00 on one credit card. I may have to add a bit to it to get me through this month... but come June - I'm back fighting for a debt free existence.
Is great to see Kat's legacy continues and is fighting fit - due to the efforts of everyone here. You do her proud!!!
Big hugs and a huge SORRY again!
I'm going to cheerlead you on for the rest of May! x

eh? As master womble in residence I need to understand this fully. I live for loopholes. When you put unclaimed nectars on you have to go to the CS desk you can't do it yourself. I have never been handed those coupons by the CS only had them come out once you've paid for your shopping.
I queried that with my OH and he said he goes to the Customer Service prior to shopping, hands in his unclaimed receipts to the CS and they give him the vouchers print out and he uses them the same day. He's done it a few times, he said. I myself haven't tried it, but it might be worth a try"There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
Afternoon everyone
declaring today a NSD as I'm home from work and don't intend to go out again - going to spend the afternoon in the garden instead. I've been thinking that I should really put the plants out for a few days now, so today's the day for that
hope everyone's Monday is going okay, it always takes me a while to warm up for the week ahead!
