I have noticed too. There's still the usual flurry of posts in the first few days but after that there only seems to be a few of us posting daily/frequently.
Productive day here but spendy too. Some necessary items - new thread for strimmer and new phone screen cover (dropped my phone on Thursday and the fancy glass screen cover smashed and the phone was fine! This is what it's supposed to do but I was skeptical when they sold it me. So I bought another one today) but also lots of comfort food. I sensibly avoided the clothes shops and The R4nge as I could have easily gone crazy in those locations today.

It's lovely weather outside but have spent most of today indoors changing rooms around- got a solid pine wardrobe off FB for just £15 (my dad said it was an amazing buy, given the condition and quality). So he and DH got it up the stairs and into our bedroom. Both wardrobes in there are mine (tee hee
), so have been sorting clothes into 'work' and 'outside of work' piles and then into separate wardrobes.
No NSD today as I ordered a new swimsuit online (in the M&S sale). It's a 'secret slimming' one as I've started to get very down about my weight. Wouldn't allow my mum to take any photos of me on our holiday last month and now I feel that I won't have any physical memories of the great time we had together because I felt so self-conscious. I've managed to diet and lose lots of weight in the past, but I just haven't been able to gather the willpower these past few months and been putting on more and more weight. DH is also big, so we don't help each other very much.
Aaaaaanyways, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and the sunshine. Hugs to you, Fmess- sounds like a tricky emotional situation.Letting Go NST #17

Should be SFD 8 here, and I'm not likely to go out now because I've got all my work to do after le saboteur had his way all week
Finished one task and then made a lovely carbonara with some of a slow-cooked £3 Aldi bacon joint. Now got the second task to do before bedtime - could be a late one.
Sending you big hugs Fmess, your comments about your OH got me thinking about the OH I split up with in January. Except he had massive drive to do one thing and was willing to sacrifice everything else to achieve it.
He was a mature student and had adopted the student ability to sleep 12+ hours a night, leaving me very bored at his house when I woke up at the weekend. Then I saw a spoken word performance later today inspired by this line in a poem; "Everyone needs a place. It shouldn’t be inside of someone else." I realised I'm building my own place now, and with 20:20 hindsight I should have jumped up out of bed and started my day meaningfully without him. The truth was I was waiting in bed for the time when he would be conscious enough for cuddles, and make me feel wanted.
I've got lots of work to do on having more self-efficacy and not needing love and attention to feel like I'm worth something, but I also think I've come a long way since January with this. He wasn't willing to make any effort, and I wasn't willing to stay that way, the old me would still be plodding on with him and feeling rubbish in return for brief flashed of affection. Phew, sorry, dunno where that came from, can you tell I'm reading a book on the art of reflection?
This weekend I am thankful for washing dried out on the line for the first time this year, for performing with my choir and our voices becoming more than the sum of their parts, for family who travelled two hours to hear us sing.NST September: SFD 17/20, food £62.87/£60, travel £61.55/£40, Outings £39.80/£100, Allotment £7.17/£30 Other: £42.32, Meditation ?/30.

Hi all, haven't checked in since Friday but have been keeping up with everyone's posts. Sounds like you're at a bit of a crossroads with OH, Fmess, hope you're able to work through it and arrive at what's best for you in the long run.
And Syn, you've definitely learned the art - you certainly have come a long way, good luck on your continuing journey.
Samiszel, I'm with you on the issue of weight - have been battling it forever, was gutted to see a picture of me on FB yesterday - second one recentlyof me looking very large, had managed to convince myself that the first one was the angle it was taken from, but now can't fool myself that I'm managing to carry off 2 stone extra weight gracefully... Have GOT to do something, but can't keep up any motivation for longer than a few days.
So, 2 SFD's this week at least. Off to help DS2 with SATS homework in preparation for next week. Hugs to all who need them xx#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

As predicted both days this weekend were NOT SFD's.
Did a small food shop when I got my Dad's Birthday card yesterday then today we took him and his wife out for lunch. Had a lovely time and don't regret the spend.
Tomorrow I need to pay for parking for a hospital appointment so no SFD then either.
Busy week this week as we need to clear the garden and shed before the new fencing is installed. The shed is almost falling down but still has quite a lot in it which will either need relocating or taking to the tip. At least the weather is supposed to be pretty good for the next few days.

CEW - I reckon that hospital parking comes under the 'necessary medical needs' so you CAN claim an NSD if that's all you spend. Hope it goes well.
Today I am grateful for staying in my pyjamas until mid-afternoon, for my mower, for lavender, for warmth, for gf mocha brownies.
Thank you Syn for a lovely post.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

He said when he buys from sainsb, he doesn't swipe his nectar card straight away. Instead he keeps his receipts and claims the points just before he goes shopping. That way, he gets the coupon print outs that come out after putting the points on and uses them for the shopping he is just about to do instead of losing them or not using them for the next shop when the coupon would be out of date. Why didn't I think of that myself?
eh? As master womble in residence I need to understand this fully. I live for loopholes. When you put unclaimed nectars on you have to go to the CS desk you can't do it yourself. I have never been handed those coupons by the CS only had them come out once you've paid for your shopping." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
