Wow I'm off the boards for a couple of days and there's loads of pages to catch up on.
Been working all over the weekend and yesterday and today as well, and I'm so tired, I'm glad I have decided to finish in September it can't come soon enough, anyway it's sfd no. 7 today and the spends are up to £26.15
I'm also in bad health at the moment because I have a couple of spots!!!! I'm in my sixties, I seem to have a headache all the time, my chest feels like someone is sitting on it and I feel as if I should be put down!!!!!! So I'm going to start eating better and getting some exercise, easier said than done
Anyway off for a catch up, hope everyone is OK and we're nearly half way through the month

syn - I can't believe mortgage companies can do that! I have an unusual setup where I pay the mortgage and when I finish paying it, the house will be mine, but technically I'm not on the mortgage. I think I need to take a more active role in this house owning business.
wishus - sorry to hear about your phone
bob - yay for the party booking and being able to pay a chunk off the credit card
Today was another spendy day as needed bread for OH, got a future birthday present, card and wrapping paper too (and three bags of chocolate!) I got a free lunch at work so counting that as LTW and also did 14000+ steps.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Today I am grateful that my manic day was less manic than envisaged, that dd + friend had hours of fun together, that dh cooked me a scrummy steak for tea, that I managed a quick catch up with my sister, that I found 2 pairs of trousers in a ch shop for £5.

Basically, the mortgage is in my dad's name as when we were looking to buy, I changed careers to be a teacher and hadn't been in my job 6 months and OH couldn't get a mortgage on his wage alone. So OH and I pay the mortgage (through my dad) and as soon as we finish paying my dad will transfer it into our names (not quite sure how you do this legally but my dad knows everything to do with house buying so I trust he knows!) It does however mean I am a little bit in the dark as to payments etc.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

NSD #5 and LTW #7 for me today. Nearly missed the NSD but I'm glad I didn't give in. Finished work at 8pm absolutely starving as only had a tiny sandwich during my breaktime. I was expecting a nice chicken meal prepared by my OH but he was called out to go to a friend's house for bereavement support. He texted me to get some take away as he wasn't able to cook before he went out. Instead, I made a slap up tuna, tomato omelet which everybody loved. Whew! What a lucky escape. It would have cost us a precious NSD and £40 easily for a meal for 4.
Had a productive morning before setting off to work. Did 2 batches of laundry and hung them outside to dry. Cooked lunch for my eldest who had a half day pass from school. Did some fly cleaning and watered the plants. Made 8900 steps at work from 12noon to 8pm.
HUGS to wishus for your phone. It is a bummer when that happens. Especially these day and age when we are so dependent on our phones. Calling, sorry to hear about your friend's daughter's operation. If it is any consolation children are very resilient and they bounce back to health quicker than us adults. I Hope it's not too serious. Get well soon wishes go out to you too. I hope the cold goes away soon and leaves you alone to enjoy your garden.
Bob, up, up and away! Can't help but smile when I read your post about your booking. Syn thanks for the heads up about the mortgage. It's something I have been thinking of doing as soon as I become debt-free -- overpay our mortgage to reduce the payment period. But i didn't realise how staggering the effect of even just £14 for the payment period and the interest rates. Good on you for spotting that and asserting your side. Academiablues, what a celebrity you are. Well done for standing up for what you believe in. We need more people like you in the society now. It's sometimes easier to just blend in with the crowd and going against the flow is not always accepted by the majority. Again, well done you.
Nannygladys, have you seen the doctor yet? Please do so before you do heavy exercises. It is better to be safe than sorry.
