    Think I have brought Le Saboteur to work with me Syn - hope you get a break ;) you need a concise list and to tick things off methodically.... I know you probably have done that but repeat this in your head. I am only one person. I can only do so much, therefore I choose THIS to do. And go off and work at it hard for 15 minutes and see how you have done...

    Calling I love Lavender, it is my favourite 'flower' and my presents from my Pop always used to be cuttings that he had taken from his and grown. Every few years he would chop it right back to a couple of inches above the ground and it would roar back into life when I was sure he had killed it, so that is what I have always done with mine (in little splodges all over my mums garden! ;))

    SFD #3 here today. Don't need anything, don't want anything. My lunch today was half forgotten so my delightful hubby walked half way to meet me this morning in serious gales to hand over coconut oil and butter and my fitbit charger :rotfl: (I am not eating the charger)

    Lunch is what is called 'bulletproof coffee'. Black coffee with a tablespoon of butter, and a tablespoon of coconut oil melted in with double cream splashed in and all stirred up until drinkable. Perfect for my high fat super low carb ketogenic diet and doesn't half fill me up. Since work is my downfall with snacking I thought I would try this!

    Have a good one guys. I chilled out so wonderfully last night by turning my phone off, and my laptop off, getting in a bath with epsom salts after washing my hair and rinsing it with cider vinegar. Reading a book and then continuing that until I was tired. Bliss. :) xx

    Lilt - just goggled epsom salts - what a range of uses. I need some ;-)
    Your evening sounds perfect phones and laptops are not relaxing. I find watching tv hard sometimes after being chained to a computer most of the day. I will pass on your lunch though sounds awful.

    Have tried bulletproof coffee, but couldn't get it all to mix in. I guess I'm extra weird that I'd prefer to eat the separate components separately!

    Good afternoon... Sorry but today is the first day I have gotten a chance to come online, read the rukles and get myself sorted out.
    :D

    * Motivation:
    I want to have no financial worries. I have the dream of being able to buy whatever we want without worrying about paying it off.
    An example of this is saving money for a holiday so instead of going into debt to pay for it, we just pay for it outright.
    I probably am not explaining myself very well.

    We want to be completely free of all debt. I hope this will happen by the time we are 45 (this includes mortgages, credit cards, everything).

    :o

    * SFD: 0/20. (pretty much impossible due to holiday problems but will try my best).

    * Foodbank donation of £5.

    * We are going to attempt more cooking from scratch and try to be healthier. We have no special events planned this month (I don't think).

    Think that's about it for this wee turtle. Away to go and catch up with everything.
    Hugs.

    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    NSD 3 here for me. After a poor start it turned into a good day trade wise.
    Currently having an hours break with son at the local library before we do the rest of the ride home.

    Lilt - what a concoction! It sounds like a coffee smoothie?

    thanks Calling :)

    might be worth investing in a cow...

    I think you might be right applemuncher ;)! Am definitely going to try the milk "pot" for the rest of the month now - though ironically we've still got about 10 pints of milk as they appear to have slowed down on using it in the last couple of days. Suppose I should be careful what I wish for, OnlyGirl
    Investing in a cow :rotfl: - I might have to do this. Do they make soya cows?
    I'll ask at the cow shop while I'm there Lilt :D!

    Sorry to hear about your nightmare day Bob, hope today's been better. And MessyMare, agree with Calling that you and OH are the most important thing about your wedding, sure it'll be a wonderful day, whether BIL graces you with his presence or not... Hugs to you both, and to anyone else in need of one.

    Wishus, HATE it when that happens, makes you feel swizzed out of money :mad: - at least you had a bargain.

    Hope I can keep up daily posting, as it's definitely helping - claiming another SFD and LTW today.

    Hey applemuncher.

    I am 31 (turned in February), OH is 30 (will be 31 in June). So we have a fair while to go, about 14 years.

    However (although this mortgage sounds tiny compared to other peoples), we have a substantial amount of debt.

    * House Mortgage = £54,000 approx.
    * Other Mortgage (non-house) = £90,000 approx.
    * My CC debt = £2700 approx.
    * Loan = £6,000 approx.

    So hence why we are aiming for 45. We do want to get rid of the debt but we want to enjoy living our lives.
    It was a bit freaky but the taxi driver we had from Birmingham (absolutely lovely man) kept telling us about how fast life goes and how you should live it to the full.
    Then OH's mother said the same (not identical words but the same sentiment). It was really quite weird and hit home a lot as OH's mum is not very well (reacting well we think).
    :undecided

    Feeling a bit off a rich b***h but we are spending approx £10,000 on our wedding.
    £3000 on the venue but it absolutely amazing. We are basically hiring a hall (OH calls it a castle) for three nights which will accomodate the whole wedding party (18 of us, give or take a few wee unexpected bundles).
    ;)

    Tell me all about your honeymoon messy mare?? Are you going round the UK in the motorhome or somewhere abroad??
    We absolutely love our campervan (it's our little bit of paradise).
    :D

    edit: was also going to say... absolutely loving my fitbit. used it in rome and did roughly 20,000 steps each day.
    Hooray.

    Well, it's over and done with, both with rings on our fingers! Both knackered now, I'm glad it's over and we can get back to normal. On the bright side I get to claim a spend free day today :) tomorrow I'll pick up groceries and fill the car up ready for mum to use while we're away.

    Thank you for the kind words everyone, I'm just happy it's done!

    ETA Stewby, we've rented a really nice Motorhome locally with unlimited miles. The first night is booked in Shrewsbury, then 3 nights in Llanystumdwy, then over to the lakes then up to Scotland for a couple of nights before zooming back home. It'll be a busy holiday :) your wedding sounds lovely!

    I've managed NSD number 6 today! What has gotten into me, I can't believe it?! Had actually planned on going to Boot Camp this eve (£8) but the trainer messaged to say it's cancelled. Of course, I am secretly please because a) it saves me £8 and gives me another NSD, and b) I don't have to be put through a gruelling regime for 45 mins :rotfl:

    I don't even know how much our wedding cost 3 years ago. I'd guestimate £20k including honeymoon. And I tried to do it on the cheap- dress cost pennies, mum made bridesmaid dresses, suits hired online, made all decorations and stationary myself, got wine from supplier in France, cake made by friend, dads Austin 7 was wedding car, found photographer on FB. Even the venue wasn't anything flash. Don't know how it all added up! Weddings, eh?
