Sorry to hear about your bad day Bob, did the bubble bath make up for it?

Your dinner sounds lovely lilt
SFD number 2 today and LTW too
didn't make my step target of 11,000 today, but think that is partly due to being tired from the 22000 steps yesterday and the rain downpours preventing dog walking this evening. LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Wow. How lovely. I do love these little serendipitous moments. How welcome for you!
Just been having the reverse moment myself. Family holiday is in August, when I take my brood off with parents and siblings and their families to the west country. I rent a house. We all rent different houses. Just remembered the balance is due next month. £500. Am going to keep my eyes peeled for tenners in the road!Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950

NSD 2 yesterday, hoping for another today.
Spent around £30 on the London trip on Monday which could have been worse. We managed to visit a couple of Witherspoon pubs for food and drinks which definately helped, although in one pub we paid £11.70 for a glass of wine and a pint of lager
I found a money-off voucher at the till in Te$co yesterday - £1.17 off your next shop! So that should get me some free food
Have a great day everyone!Starting 2016 debt-free

Morning turtles! I missed you all yesterday, but I went straight from work to volunteering and didn't get home until quarter past ten(!) so I had to go straight to bed! Plus side was that I really didn't get any chance to spend money (aside from petrol), so another NSD.
Hoping today will be a NSD too - there's a packet of crisps in the hospital shop with my name on them, but I will resist
at volunteering tonight as well, so saying hello whilst I can. Hope Bob and Messy have better days today
Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!

Thanks Lilt!
No NSD after all yesterday as my OH couldn't leave the house, so that's another £3.50 on stuff for our anniversary dinner (part 1, as yesterday was the anniversary, treat lined up for Saturday). But that was a lovely low-fat turkey korma, made with YS turkey, followed up by a low-fat, low-cost pud of banana and blueberry 'ice-cream' (chopped YS banana, frozen and slightly thawed, whipped up in a food processor with some YS blueberries - yum!)
Plus, had to buy train tickets and thought I'd done super well. That was until I got an email from the train company 20 minutes later saying they were offering an 8% discount. Doh!Keep reading books!

Messymare - stop worrying sure your day will be perfect. As long as you and your hubby are in the pics is all that matters.

Applemuncher I miss my lavender so does my neighbours all used to pinch bunchs of it. Had loads of it by my front door but it had gone huge and woody so took it all out. Put a little bush in the back garden not doing that well.
Had a lovely picnic set today free with the stationary in work. Comes with backpack, blanket, cutlery plates, wine glasses(plastic ones) salt and pepper shakers. Just need it to stop raining please:j

Hi everyone,
Lots of hugs and congrats to those who need them.
Apple, I'm 30 and want to be FIRE by 45.
The checking in every day wont happen for me, but I am reading all your posts! 3 SFDs so far - I bought petrol and food on Friday, and then spent a few pounds on a tip on Saturday when my mum took me for lunch - we went to see the Tour de Yorkshire go through Beverley and potter around town. My cousins little girl came up for a few days too but it was like pulling teeth sometimes getting her to put down her ipad and play in the sunshine - 9 years old!
'Le Saboteur' is doing a great job on me this week. I've got several things that have to be done and I'm not making progress on any of them! Hence posting on here as part of my self-sabotage. As I advised myself on last month's challenge, I'm going to set a timer for 5 minutes now and figure out why I'm putting everything off and then try and get on with it! Feel like my life is tripping down a hill and I'm trying to run faster and faster so that I don't fall, but when I can't go any faster and go head over heels it's going to be messy. So many things need to be done, and so many things need to be prepared, all before I go to Norway. Wish I could freeze frame everything until I get my head right.NST September: SFD 17/20, food £62.87/£60, travel £61.55/£40, Outings £39.80/£100, Allotment £7.17/£30 Other: £42.32, Meditation ?/30.
