Turtles, hello! You're all so busy! Shyspender, as far as I'm aware fuel doesn't count as long as you've budgeted it (apple, am I wrong?) so you might have SIX SFDs!
Yesterday was a NSD (volunteering again) and today will hopefully be one, but I have to walk across the retail park to get to the polling station and I'm really craving crisps and chocolate and diet coke (as usual) :-/ I will be for another few days or so, I just have to resist and by next week I'll be back to my usual thrifty self!
I hope the turtles who can/wanted to have had a chance to vote today, and the ones that couldn't/didn't want to aren't getting preached to too much about itBought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!

So not a SFD, but have to say was actually quite resentful that I had to spend as still had milk left lol!
Still, have now put £20 to one side for milk, was thinking it's too much but then again, maybe not.... Will be interesting to see both how much I buy each month and also how many SFD's I can log if I don't have to break one for milk purchases.
Thought while I was at it would get another (big) spend out of the way to get my wedding ring repaired - had to have it cut off when I broke my finger a couple of months ago, and after toying with buying a replacement I'm getting it resized and repaired as I have had it over 20 years. Would probably have been cheaper to get a new one, as it turns out! It's paid for now though so no point worrying about the cost, just need to be mindful of my other spends for the month.
Hope you're all having a good day x#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Don't give up your day job!
Here are a few things for you to ponder and consider over the next few days. You do not have to post your thoughts, but do keep a note of them somewhere safe (that won't get kondo-ed...)
1 Make a note of your passions, hobbies and new activities you would like to try.
2 Imagine your life 5 years from now.
3 Consider the following categories and write down where you are dissatisfied, or hate it, or it drives you mad. Then note down 2 realistic solutions and 2 fun alternatives.
a Job/work
b Money/wealth
c Home
d Health
e Spare time/play/funNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I forgot that, so, six SFD's. Spendy day today though, only little though. I walked to the polling station and then walked on into town. For my fit-bit buddies, that's why the spike in my normally poor step count, lol.
Pottered around town running a few errands. Went to the library to get recycling bags, don't ask!, they didn't have any. I did register though and they have a cool key fob library card. That is an ingenious idea if you ask me.
Got the bus back. Was quite pleased with the price, it was only £1.10. Have just got out of a soak in the bath. No Epsom salts Lilt but I got a herbal salts sachet from savers. Will see what it does. What i really need is a proper massage but I can't get in with my ex boss's wife until next week. That is unheard of! OH gave me a massage on Tuesday night which actually really helped but I think she was a bit scared to pummel me too hard.Feb NST #4

Congratulations MessyMare, may it be a long & wonderful marriage.
Stewby - If 'busting makes you feel good' you should totally go for the amazing 80s tracks
Caeurgirl - Sorry to hear about your ring, thats sad. I would have totally had mine fixed too. A new ring is just not the same!
Apple - Thanks for the new challenge.
Declaring NSD 4 here!
The gods smiled on me today, the cafe was bustling all day. If tommorow is good too, I should just claw back where I need to be.
Totally pooped, going to go and quickly vote when OH gets home to relieve me, then off to have a hot bath.
I also recieved the £200 from the ombudsman today that they'd promised, so have put that in a paying in envelope immediately & sent it off.
And my Emergency fund got a little unexpected lift of £1.93 in interest today, so taking me up to £742.60/£1,000
Have a nice evening all.

Hello everyone,
Been with out internet for the last few days, very annoying. Lots of catching up to do. Three NSD for me since my last post.
Mr Doris is very upset this evening, something has been in the greenhouse eating the seedlings, so he is off to buy so bug spray tomorrow,we do try not to use sprays etc, but on this occasion I think we need some.
Went to vote after work, walked down to the polling station with our dog, not a lot of people about at all and they have been quite today.
Off to catch up on the thread. Back later. x

Love it apple muncher! Will think on it. Stewby I agree with bob...busting makes you feel good. The wedding sounds lovely and intimate.
I am totally whacked...made it t 4/20 SFD's and on the movement front I have been to yoga twice and walked up and down the stairs at work, not so good on not getting the tram home.
Been and voted now fit for nothing, but could do with an epsom salt bath...

Went to vote, apply for my bus pass, read my meters and submitted the readings, replaced library card as I'd lost my other one, made the next two days work lunches and made dinner for today and tomorrow, so I feel as if I have achieved a few things today. Oh did some house work as well.
Just popped in for a couple of minutes as I have a bit of mending I want to do before bedtime.
