Bobarella - I like the minimalist idea of not being my stuff too :) I decluttered so much last year that I'm now onto the tough decisions and I've been stalling far too much.

if you want a good challenge to motivate you try Minsgame on twitter. #minsgame it is just like this with people egging you on. Each day you give away 1 item more to match the day of the month. If you get to the end you will have shed 400 odd items in just a month. I've played about 3 months consecutive and then dipped back in when I feel things need getting on top of.
Met lots of good people. Mainly Americans but a few Europeans too. It's a great social challenge.

NSD here,so that 3 in total. Quite day here for us cleaning, pottering in the garden, walk with the dog and I made a crumble with rhubarb from the garden. I have also meditated this morning out in the garden, which has fab.

Question - Instead of donating £5.00 to food bank do you think I could change mine to spending £5.00 on food and do dome cooking in work with the homeless young people I work with?

Hope everyone has gad a great day.

Hi everyone :) Spendy day today. Bought some bits from homebase for the laminate and carpet installation i'll be carrying out . I also found in matalan clearance bogof on these large board canvases with an inspirational quote similar to what lilt posted last month ( pretty sure it was Lilt) for £7.00 :T and they match my colour scheme perfectly! I couldn't believe the price. I then tried to find the little man a birthday cake from M&$. Nothing :( So the little fella has a lemon drizzle for today and a proper cake will be bought tomorrow.

I have a really awful headache so i'll sign off, but enjoy the day everyone :) Nice and sunny in London today. Take care everyone :)

DrCarrie - I guess working 3 days a week will give you a chance to hone your not spending/ moneysaving skills.

Thank yes, hopefully. I have spent today - setting myself up for this 2 months of frugal frugality. Got some meat and other items at the supermarket for knock down prices.

Hoping for NSD's until Saturday now, by which time I will have meal planned up until I go on holiday. :T

Been looking at the OS board and the de-cluttering. I am seriously thinking of taking some radical action...

DrCarrie - I recommend the KonMarie thread for getting rid of stuff! It's ever so, ever so long now, but the first few pages would let you know if you like the approach.

Managed my 4th NSD today. That means I didn't spend all Bank Holiday Weekend  Sold a few more clothes on GumT. Have lunch prepared for work tomorrow and used up bits from our freezer for meals today. Not walked many steps today though... :o

Enjoy the last few hours of the weekend!!

I'm a massive fan of the konmarie method. I have decluttered so much stuff since starting following her philosophy and my drawers etc are beautiful to look at.

Today I am grateful for time spent with dd pottering in the garden, for lavender, for friendly thrushes and playful sparrows, for sunsine and rain, for fleecy material.
