Just rang sky and spoke to a really helpful chap helped me cut my bill by £13.50 a month for a year. £8.50 was on cutting channels I didn't even know I had! Also advised me to go and look around for my broadband and then go back to them if I find something cheaper. Well worth they call😄0

I am about to phone Sky to tell them I am a very unhappy longstanding customer due to the price rise BUT I cannot find a freephone number to ring! It would appear that you only have access to a free phone no. if you have a phone package with Sky. As a BT customer it says on the sky website it will cost me 9.58pence per minute to speak to them!!!!
How can this be allowed?

I was paying £72 per month for fibre broadband, family TV bundle and Evening and weekend calls.
After going through to their cancellations department, I compared what I waspaying to a BT deal which was £55 per month but included Sky movies. After speaking to their manager they reduced my monthly bill to £62 included Sky movies onto my package and as an added sweetener credited my account with £20 so thatI don't have to pay for the boxing I ordered on box office from the weekend.
I would recommend people do a bit of research and tell them what you wouldbe willing to pay. I’m £120 per year better off and I now have Sky Movies.

Do you not have inclusive calls from BT, at least 'free weekend calls' ?0 -
Rang sky, following your link last week. We are on top package, plus HD, plus two multi rooms, plus we have our broadband (free) and our phone line etc with them, so after June increase it would have been nearly £120 per month.
Our previous rounds of discounts had ended at beginning of April. And we were out of contract. Rang and said was leaving to switch to Virgin. They had no idea we can't get Virgin here!
Instantly offered 25% Off the main part and various discounts on all the rest of the elements, meaning a discount of over £40 per month. Then negotiated a £70 bill credit to be applied to the account, because virgin offering £100. We are also moving in June and they are doing the move for free, saving us £25. Discounts last for 10 months, so well over £500 saved, and no bill at all for June! Thank you Martin!0 -
Absolutely over the moon with the guide that was published!
As advised I did my research and was paying £108pm with Sky and after doing a quote for Virgin found out I could be getting the same package for £64. The result? Sky have reduced my bill to £69.50 for the next 10 months!!! £385 better off!! Thank you MSE2015 Target - £4093/£4000 (102%)0 -
I am with Sky HD TV package and paying £33.00 a month at the moment, in July the price for my package is going up by £3.00 a month making the new payment of £36.00 a month.
I got an email form MSE.com telling us to call Sky up, so I have just done this.
I said I'm thinking of leaving them after being with them for 15 years, My contract run out over 2 years ago and I also told them that my bill went up last year and there is no way I'm going to pay £36 a month for there services.
They came back to me to offer me a contract for 12 months with the cost of £21.12 a month starting today (06-05-15) then in July it will go up to £26.00 a month for 10 months then for the last 2 months of the contact it go up to the £36.00 I would start to pay in July. This will be a saving of £100 over the next year. Thank you MSE.com for the info to do this, you have saved me £100
Anyone who is with a company and your not in a contract PLEASE CALL THEM UP TO SAY YOU ARE THINKING OF LEAVING AND THEY WILL COME BACK TO YOU WITH A BETTER OFFER THAN YOU ARE PAYING, YOU CAN SAVE MONEY ON YOUR T.V-HOME PHONE-BROADBAND-MOBILE PHONE ECT0 -
I got £15.50 off a £65 bill for 10 months so £155 saved over that period.
Will probably try again before it finishes as no way am I going to pay more to sky again.0 -

I called Sky last night and got through a nice bloke in Retentions. I explained that I was trying to manage my outgoings and had been contacting all my suppliers and that I wanted to see if Sky would help reduce my costs. He saw my password was my (and his) favourite football team and said that he would of course be able to help me. Within 10 mins my monthly bill was reduced by £15 pounds and I now have 'free calls' all day without paying the £5 supplement. A total £20 saving! Thanks MSE! Thanks Sky!0
