If you make any calls on weekday daytimes to 01, 02 or 03 numbers then change over to a deal with anytime inclusive calls. You only need to make about 30 minutes of calls per month for it to be better value than paying a per-minute rate for these calls.
I have unlimited anytime calls, and no need to redial after an hour. ALSO I have unlimited BB. I paid my full line rental last November, £145, which was a hike, then I have only paid £2 per month for calls and BB, I also pay a boost of £5 per month for 5000 minutes of calls to any mobiles, anytime, could reduce to £3 for 100, if I want.I have had this package years, and the only increase is the line rental, which was half price to BT , but isn't now. This is the first I 've heard of a change?? Always been happy, BUT, now it's fully TT, not AOL, see what happens
.According to bottom of packages to be affected,, AOL packages are not affected.??? Curious.
(i) Excluding AOL packages, TalkTalk calls-only and TalkTalk calls and line rental packages. These stay the same price.

Talktalk charge £7.50 per month for anytime calls. So I will have to pay £10 and £7.50 totalling £17.50. This is a big increase!
No: if you are on a calls-only or call and line rental-only tariff, there is no increase. Customers without TV or broadband services are not affected-at least that's my reading of it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I left TalkTalk 18 months ago and now get broadband and landline from EE for £19.25 a month. Not sure if it includes free calls but I'm not fussed as I don't use landline for calling.
I also got £80 Quidco cashback originally when I signed up to EE.0 -
Ha, and I just got a rubbish/borderline retention deal a week ago... Oh well, off I go then! Who's not rubbish these days/where is everyone else going, plusnet?0

with the number of times talktalk hikes its prices in the past couple of years i wonder if they have any customers left?0

Despite the price rises, TalkTalk remain the cheapest unlimited ADSL provider, although they are a few pence more expensive than Plusnet for unlimited fibre now.0 -
Thankyou MSE for notification
I contacted TT today 2 months left on existing essentials package told that it is increasing to £10 per month for my package Eve/Weekend calls.
Told them that SSE have entered the market at £12 for line rental and free broadband for 2 years
They then offered me a deal £2.50 per month for 12 months (18month contract) for my broadband + eve/weekend calls. (line rental extra,I pay 12 months upfront)
A good deal for me / saves hassle of changing providers.
Worth a phone call to Talk Talk i think0 -
I left TalkTalk the last time they announced mid-contract price rises, as I will not stay with any company which increases the price part way through a contract. Would they let me reduce the amount I pay mid-contract? Of course not.
Advice for anyone leaving TalkTalk mid contract due to the price rise:
1)Make sure you keep the email from them which confirms the price rise and confirms that you can leave the contract with no exit penalty.
2)When corresponding with TalkTalk, use the 'live chat' function on their website rather than phoning them - you have the option to save the conversation at the end for your records.
Cancel your direct debit. You'll be told by them not to do this until after your final bill had been paid. Ignore this. They messed up my final bill and included a £120 exit penalty. If my Direct Debit had still been in place, they would have just taken it from my account and I would have had to fight to get it back. Instead they chased me for it and I was able to prove that they actually owed ME money.0
