Gutted, had free local calls for a long time, have also paid my line rental upfront so would cost me more to leave, they shouldn't be allowed to stop this mid contact0

Ignore the link on that page that claims to take you to a page listing all of the Service Charges. It does not. The linked page lists the current price bands, many of which will cease to exist on 1 July 2015. It does not currently list any "Service Charges".0 -
Thanks. That's appears to be a very recent addition. It's a bit brief compared with the extensive information that some of the other networks have put out.
To be fair though, it does mention the information-rich https://www.UKcalling.info (although bizarrely they chose not to make it clickable).Ignore the link on that page that claims to take you to a page listing all of the Service Charges. Without a list of which numbers fall in which chargebands, the supposed service charge page is fairly useless in general!0 -

Under the new system, each of those 18 000 number ranges will have an assigned Service Charge. There will generally be no need to look up the Service Charge because from 1 July 2015 every user of an 084, 087, 09 or 118 number is required to state it in close proximity to their number everywhere that their number is advertised.0 -
Mine is coming up for renewal soon.
I swear last year I paid all my line rental upfront so it was half price or so - now only a 10% discount. I'm going to have to check my bank statements from last year.
And broadband up from £3.50 to £5? That's a huge increase in % terms!
I briefly looked at Plusnet though there were that many this fees and that fees it was hard to work out what they actually wanted. I'll try another day when I have more time.
In the meantime, I think I'll try calling TT and see if I can get a "new customer" deal rather than a loyal/mug customer one. If not, I'll be off. Never liked them.0 -

.
I had that package last year and it was £2.50 before the last price rise so it has doubled in 12 months.0 -
I am on essentials TV with fee local calls. With free local calls being scrapped does this mean I will be charged for all calls Monday to Friday daytime? Even those that are made within my own town.0

If you make any calls on weekday daytimes to 01, 02 or 03 numbers then change over to a deal with anytime inclusive calls. You only need to make about 30 minutes of calls per month for it to be better value than paying a per-minute rate for these calls.0

Talktalk charge £7.50 per month for anytime calls. So I will have to pay £10 and £7.50 totalling £17.50. This is a big increase!0
