Yes, uk mobile numbers are free - we've been using them to contact the children for some time (they don't use a landline) - a good deal for us, as they sure do talk a lot! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thanks for that information I knew the price went up from £5 to £7 50 They did say at the time that people who were paying for phone and mobile
I did say they are gaining but I am subsiding them having to pay £7.50 instead £5 They didn't say you now have mobile calls included for the increase
Thanks for clearing the matter up for me

Rang TalkTalk yesterday, am on Plus TV with Fibre Medium Paying about £40 per month. They offered my plan half price bringing it down to £30.95 per month for 12 months Not exactly outstanding value compared to BT's £17.50 TV and fibre offer + line rental.
Anyone had any luck getting a better deal?0 -

I pay TT - £28.95 per month for Large Fibre + phone - so don't think that you are getting a particularly good deal
How long have you been a TT customer / are you still in minimum contract period ?0 -

I got £26.75 pm for Medium Fiber + Line Rental. (I am not on a TV package, but I still use my TT Youview box).
After the call to the TT Call Centre, I also got a mysterious email about now having free calls, even though I never discussed this with them. Nice, but it's not worth that much to me, because I have unlimited calls on my mobile.
I shall be somewhat peeved if it turns out my "free calls" are in lieu of the cash discount I was promised.0 -

Have been with them about 2 and a half years, am 6 months in to current contract, I just mentioned the price rise email about leaving penalty free.
Knowing this I shall ring them again and see what further cuts I can get.0 -
I'm getting a bit disillusioned with TT but I'd still rather stay with them than go back to BT who I despise. I rang them to cancel but was told I could not do so without paying a penalty because it was during my contract. When I argued this he told me that the increases did not apply to me. In the end I gave up because it was such a poor line and he had such a strong accent I could barely understand a word he was saying (1-0 TT!). Is there a web chat facility to discuss this sort of thing because calling them seems pointless?0

I am clearly not the only person who cannot understand the Indians that TT employs on their support lines - with the added problem that I am unable to speak properly (I suffer from a disability) - so you can imagine the conversation that I manage to have with someone in Bangalore !!
There IS live chat available - just log on to your account - select HELP and sit around twiddling your thumbs for five minutes - the on-line chat should pop up.......0 -
Alternatively email them, mentioning either the letter or email you received with details of the price rise and your right to leave within 30 days of receiving it.0

I've also paid value line rental up until the end of October, but I thought I'd ring them and threaten to leave anyway. The chap immediately offered to reduce my SimplyBB fee from £3.50 to £0.00 for the next 6 months. That takes me comfortably to the end of my value line rental, and I'll reassess the situation then...0
