It's often the way that things tend to pile up and all come at us at once. I don't know if that is a reality or a perception because when we start to feel low and overwhelmed what used to be simple things suddenly become so much bigger and more complicated.

I emphasise with where you are at, when you are mentally unwell being physically ill as well can really knock you on your a** and impact your mental symptoms as well.

I hope the bug you have passes soon and your body recovers from it swiftly.

Well done for trying to keep to a normal routine with getting up.

P.S. the DWP are horrific with letters, I can't remember if I put it on my diary but I got one saying that I wasn't entitled to anything because I'm a student (part-time, no funding), we called up to query and was told to send in evidence of my part time status, two days later I got a letter telling me my award (before they had any of the extra information) that was dated the same day :rotfl: I think most of their letters are computer generated and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Glad it's all sorted now xxx

Oh yes, the left hand has no clue what the right hand was up to. It's made especially frustrating when they are supposed to be dealing with disabled people who quite frankly are usually too vulnerable to fight them and get stuff sorted. Thankfully between my dad and my best friend there is always someone to help me fight when they are being difficult. It does make me laugh though, supposedly it's harder to get PIP than DLA. Yet I got turned down for DLA, where as I got PIP with no real fight. I had to wait for my appointment but they never needed extra info and from appointment to first payment was under a month which was mostly because of Christmas and New Years!

Oh no it does all sound a bit crazy & I can see why you had the moment of weakness as well. But you have come a long way & its great your friend could remind you of that.

Thank you. I does mean a lot to know that I'm not looney for thinking that after all the news. Thankfully I'm now all sorted and aside from still needing to organise council tax (for some reason I've had no info about getting council tax benefits? Despite the form here being for both) and then I am officially in charge of my own money again. I forgot how good it felt to be independent.

I'm really pleased with it. I'm going to try and finish #8 next month. I only have £22.78 left to pay on that one.

    Thank you (:

Well I've had a look at the snowball calculator again, I should be debt free by about January 2018 depending on the payments I make. Well I don't like that so I'll try and pay it off earlier. Right now I have tuition to pay, that finishes in December so from January I've upped my monthly debt budget to £100. I'll try and pay more on top of that.

Let's just see what I can do. Looks like I could be around on here for a little while longer though lol

It's good to have a date to guide you but as you say if you can do it sooner than why not. So long as it doesn't cripple you financially.

That's very true. To me it's more motivation, I've seen the date and I don't like it so even if I only manage to overpay enough to bring it forward one month that's still huge. Well at the moment £50 is about my sweet spot for payments, it would be £85 but there is stuff for around the house that needs buying. I have most of the big stuff, but little stuff adds up. Like I need more bedding and a bath mat and towels because I only had a couple and because I don't have huge amounts of space to dry indoors when the weather is bad if I only have two towels and they are both drying...

Right well today I've had two letters. One to tell me how much council tax I owe for where I live now. Less than £10 a month, first instalment is due next month. I'll get it filled out this weekend and then on Monday I should be near a post office so I will grab some stamps and get it posted. Might write my Nan a letter while I'm at it, she loves getting letters.

The second letter was about the council tax for where I used to live. Now my husband promised he would be the one paying even for the time I was living there because he was the one with an income. Well I guess he doesn't feel like it so as far as I'm concerned he has taken care of the rent, phone bill etc. So only water and council tax are left. I'm dealing with council tax and no clue about the water as I haven't heard anything yet. But back to my point, it was £260 to my knowledge but apparently it's actually £275. They have sent a breakdown of why and that's right it's just annoying. But I've made a £15 payment bringing it back to £260, updated my spreadsheets and signature and according to the snowball because I have started paying this month instead of in a month or two as originally planned I've actually shifted my debt free date!!

:j:j My new debt free date is December 2017 rather than January 2018 meaning I will be starting the year debt free!!:beer:

I mean that's still a year after when I would have preferred to have been debt free but I'd rather it took a little longer and didn't kill me.

Right now I could pay an extra £50 if I wanted, but instead I've put that £50 into savings so I can build an emergency fund. I tried last month and ended up spending it, but not this month! I'm feeling positive and motivated. I'm going to live life the right way at last.

How are things going with everyone else?

Just purchased the cat a new bowl, he has one of those cheap plastic double bowls. It's really annoying when it comes to filling it up as I have to take the whole thing into the kitchen, sloshing water as I go, because I struggle to bend down for long. Not to mention isn't very deep. I also much prefer the metal bowls but they don't look all that great.

Spotted a lovely deeper double bowl on amazon, ceramic but with removable metal bowls. Even better is one side is slightly larger so it can hold more water! £9.99 + postage. Thanks to my amazon prime and a gift card it's cost me £4.99 and will be delivered for free on Tuesday!! Really pleased with that as it's much nicer and more practical and only cost a couple of quid more than his plastic one.

Well I have officially given up on getting any sleep, despite having been yawning since 7pm I am still not able to get to sleep. Even less likely to accomplish it now as having decided I was sick of looking at the dishes on the side I washed up 6 small plates, 5 big plates, a mug and a tea cup. I feel great for having done that, despite that being a rather small dent in it, but unfortunately now my back is hurting. Thankfully it's the kind of pain that normally fades away after a few hours so I'm planning to accomplish some more things today in short bursts.

Although I also have to listen out for knocking at mine and next doors front door! I'm expecting a delivery and an electrician is due at next doors although apparently the landlord should be about and will take care of that for me. I do hope so.

But I currently have about 4 hours to kill until I can start to accomplish anything. So do I attempt to get a little sleep and risk sleeping through my alarm? Or would I be best keeping myself busy? I have several things I could be doing... Hmm.
