I don't like the new version at all.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

I believe Martin has explained a few times in the past why the forum HAS to change.
It looks great on mobile by the way.
You don't have to break the desktop/mouse/keyboard to give touch/mobile.
The layouts on windows mobile are different to the desktop and very inefficient for the user.
I prefered the option to stay desktop look on the mobile browser.
too much scrolling now.
Even the old desktop view is now broken.0 -
Tried the new look as I can't get back the proper old version - everything is squashed in the middle of the page.
How do you get to the first new post in a thread like you used to be able to?0 -
In my opinions it is much better on mobiles than the old version (although that's not hard!).
Though oddly the board pages look better in landscape and the threads better in portrait.
I'd probably not have avatar's showing when not logged in.
I tend not to be logged in on the mobile/tablet so I expect what will happen for me is I'll gradually get used to it from the tablet and then end up switching over on the PC/laptop as well.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Very confused my Kindle still has the old version but I can't see anywhere to swop to the new.
My laptop went straight to the new - still looks very white. MSE seems to have concentrated on appearance rather than functionality.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Love the new design. Works great on my mobile...:)0

How do mark ALL posts as read? The 'Unread Posts' link is showing all subscribed threads even though they have all been previously read.0

It typifies MSE and their assumptions that we all want to convert to mobile. It explains why Mr Lewis was in the dog house for obstructing fellow passengers with his inability to wait for a convenient place to stop and check his mobile.
MSE have this bizzarre idea that we all want to hog around public areas with our noses glued to a mobile phone, for that oh so must see advice on the site. no longer can we wait to get on to our systems at home. MSE is far too mobilised for that now.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

They'll have data available on what percentage of visits to the site are on mobile vs PC. That will have guided the decision. The vast majority of websites are seeing a steady increase in mobile traffic and are redesigning to suit it.0
