Duchy you've done so well utilising your miles!

I've just returned from our Miami and Caribbean cruise holiday....TAKE ME BACK!!!! We had an EPIC holiday. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for flight deals to Miami for end of May (Bank holiday).

Anyone interested planning an Oz trip this year, check out Etihad Business Class to Australia for £1,275! See details here http://www.headforpoints.com/2016/04/08/etihad-business-class-to-australia/

i find using for miles for routes with little competition so fares are higher can be a good use of them- I did similar last year flying from LA to Idaho - it's not really that far but prices are ridiculous. Works well for flying US to Canada too which tends to be expensive.

GOT MIA end of May (early exit at LHR on the return possible) £314 at the end of May btw with AA

With the exception of returning from Seoul in premium economy (It was only £90 more) I've only ever flown economy. I'm not currently working but will definitely look to fly business for the next holiday once I've found work. I think that I deserve a treat.

We work too damn hard not to treat ourselves. I think for such a long haul, especially from the UK this Business Class ticket is great value! I only wish I could go, but Im saving Oz for next year!

Glad you had a good holiday MP, started planning your next yet or is it already done?

I've never done biz class either Ballard. Although we did Premium Economy with UA when I won a holiday from off here once. Cillian Murphy was not impressed that he had to sit behind me :D his kid was a right pain, & kicked me in the back for a full 10 hours :(

A little brat kicking my back for 10 hours....reasons to kill it,:rotfl: YOU are a saint!

I'm trying to find flights to Miami for Bank Holiday (the month end one), this time I'm leaving my kids at home.

I did consider business on my flights to NZ & Oz last year but with a couple of stopovers and a total of 6 weeks away it was too much expense already... particularly as I didn't have a job to return to. It wasn't particularly uncomfortable flying economy anyway.

This year's holiday is already booked in economy so maybe 2017 will see me go business.

Not really, I kept reclining in the hope of flinging the kid off the table where they'd put him :D

You like Miami then. We went (another win from off here) to Fort Lauderdale for a week in May 2012, we took a bus ride & ended up in the ghetto

We loved Miami especially South Beach.

Seriously struggling with withdrawal symptoms.....I'm busy uploading our holiday pix to FB, now have to sort out our GoPro and upload those as well.

    I. NEED. ANOTHER. HOLIDAY:eek:

Not long now :j Unfortunately I'm still wrestling with my new image holiday wardrobe. People say not to wear shorts, so I've bought some of those baggy ankle cuffed jazzy trousers :( But I shall take a few pairs of shorts as I'm sure when I get there everyone will be wearing them.

Have you got anywhere in mind then MP?

Why mustn't you wear shorts? I just want to go away sans kids, and veg on a HOT beach for a few days! I'm still shopping around for tickets. I will stay at the hotel we stayed at before heading home. Hotels aren't the issue, it's getting a flight that fits my budget. (Business class)

And for my next trip ....... Next trip is next month but looking ahead and trying to decide if I want to visit Vilinus in Lithuania in the summer or wait til December and make it a Christmas market trip. Just be a long weekend two or three nights in an apartment in the old city. My grandparents fled the city in 1900 so I have always wanted to go and walk in their shoes :)
