Yes I'm single work over 30 hours and no disabilities my earnings for this year will be about £13000 seemed a bit low to me as well.
On £10506 last year and £13k this year you're in the disregard so they'll use last year's. You should get about £21pw, but if they've paid you more than that since April your payments the rest of the year will reduce accordingly. When did your paymenst change? Do they have your correct income details on the renewal form? What did last year's award notice say about payments this year?
  • Update, tax credit compliance rang me today, they have accepted the evidence I sent of further education and have now processed my renewal and I should receive my new award notice within 2 weeks. In total it has taken about 8 weeks from when I did my renewal so within the 10 week timescale that they gave me.

My last years award said I would receive £41 a week. My payments changed about 2 weeks ago and yes they have the correct income details on my renewal I just received that today
  • Tax credits is a yearly award. This year I'd estimate you'd be entitled to £1097, which would normally be around £21 per week.

However if you were receiving £41 per week for the first 2 months of the tax year, you've will have been overpaid slightly which would reduce your award for the rest of the year.

Thanks for your advice I received £41 for 5 weeks of this year so do you think my payments will slightly increase once this overpayment is paid?

Should do based on what you've written. I'm wondering if they've reduced it to £8pw on getting the RTI info, so you're about straight when the renewal is processed, when it should then go to about £21. Unless there's something else like previous year overpayment being clawed back.

Were you told 10 weeks too ? I don't mind extra checks being done but I thought I might of had a letter by now asking for childcare or p60.
I just like to know my budget and feel if there is a overpayment it's not helping carrying on paying me normal rate . Or if underpayment it would be nice
  • Concentrix confirmed my case closed letter on way in next 10 days.
Didn't say if they were changing anything or not.
Hmrc got through quite quick renewal not processed but will be by 22nd June even though I renewed online 27th April.

He said payments are provisional didn't say if they were changing anything but I know my childcare wasn't accurate still none the wiser if I will get overpayment or penalty! Just that can ring back nearer to 22nd June to check if finalised.

I asked if he has the info from concentrix about childcare and he said yes all on there!

    Hi
Well I haven't rang up since my renewal. I just got the provisional notice and next years award in the post. They haven't used the figures I gave them though so I presumed I am either being checked or it is just taking a long time.
