The offer has been made :j:j:j:j:j:j

    WOOHOO!!!

Bit lower than expected, as the house is on for £235,000 and they offered £227,500.

I've asked if they can come up to £230,000

    Congratulations callistris

Can't wait for the summer holidays to be over to get some life back into the market!
  • Yay! Another viewing, man viewing obo his mum who is returning from the States. He loves it. Says he is going to recommend his mum takes it and will make a 'sensible' offer.

    Excited!

He (his mum) is a cash buyer and we have no upward chain as we have already bought our bungalow :)

Just been and spent £1000 on furniture in celebration. :rotfl:

I hope they were serious SDW :)

I'm painting my sons bedroom white this weekend as it is currently blue and green. I also changed my daughters bedroom around last night and it looks much bigger and brighter. Just need the viewings to show it off now!!

Well apart from not selling ours yet we have just heard that the bungalow we are after (and had offer accepted) has also accepted 2 other offers of the same price. Basically first to sell wins - really taken the shine off it.
On top of that they have chopped all the tree's / bushes that give it some privacy (it is a large corner plot) down to wall level so it will be at least 2/3 years before it becomes private again.
Sooooooo we are back on the hunt and have found a detached bungalow which has just come on the market, still needs new kitchen / bathroom and is £20k more. Wifey saw it yesterday and loves it as much if not more than first one, we are going back Saturday when I can get there as well and it looks like we will put an offer in on that one.
Both are empty so we may end up in same situation with first to sell winning again but you have to try.
I even tried "We buy any house" last night as they advertise 90% of valuation and we could "Just" make it at that but the rang today and were talking about 80% so told them where to go LOL it was worth a try.
We have another viewing on ours this afternoon and 1 for Monday but everyone wants to extend and the garden is not really large enough for that.

    Hi all

I am joining the thread as our property has just went live online this morning.

We are a mid 20s couple with a 6 month old son and hadnt planned on moving from our 2 bed terraced for another few years but our dream home came up and we are now selling ours.

Only up this morning and we are already hoping anxiously some viewings come in. The EA advised there was a gentleman who missed out on a similair property just this week so they are reaching out to him to see if he would consider.

Hope you are all progressing well with your viewings and after reading all of this thread I am looking to hopefully
Coming back with my own updates and viewings soon!

  • Another viewing today...young family. They liked it and are coming back for a second viewing with another family member. First time buyers.

Hoping for an offer soon from either them or the guy buying obo his mother. Neither has a house to sell and the man's is a cash sale.

    Everything crossed!!

Finally had a viewing who was actually looking for a house to live in rather than do-up / extend and sell on. Husband & wife & both parents and a child turned up.
Seemed very positive so fingers toes & legs crossed (I look very odd in the office)
We absolutely love the bungalow we looked at on Saturday but they can not take offers until we sell ours - only an offer of intent. It is 20K more expensive but it is well worth it.

How long did it take you all for your first viewing from when your property was listed online?

I think we need to get a little patience in our life... Ours went online on Friday afternoon and I'm gutted we haven't had anything today :rotfl:Surely people were queuing out the EA this morning to make an appointment?! :)
