Anyone applied to Barclays as a new customer: did you get your PINSentry card reader gadget automatically and how long after you applied did it take to arrive?

EDIT: Just seen you need to upgrade to get it.

Barclays' PINSentry is interchangeable with the ones from other banks (Nationwide, Coop/Smile, Natwest)

    received an email this morning...

    Dear Mr xxxxx

It's more rewarding in the blue

Now that you've joined Barclays Blue Rewards, you'll enjoy exclusive benefits as a thank you for being with us – including rewards you can pay into your account and savings on quality brands.

    What you need to do

To qualify for Barclays Blue Rewards, all you need to do is:

    • pay in at least £800 into your nominated current account every month

    • make two Direct Debit payments from your nominated current account every month.

Please make sure that you read the terms and conditions for details on how to qualify.

We'll check you've done this on the 1st of the month for the previous month. We can see that you haven't qualified this month, so we wanted to remind you of the criteria and give you a little time to qualify.

    What happens next?

We want you to enjoy the benefits of Barclays Blue Rewards now. So this month, we'll pay your rewards and take your monthly fee.

But if you don't meet the criteria, we'll close your Rewards Wallet – and you'll stop earning rewards. If that happens, we'll transfer any rewards you may have earned into your chosen current account, and stop taking the monthly fee. We'll also credit any pending SmartSpend cashback to your nominated current account at the lower rate.

    Any questions?

If you'd like to know more about Barclays Blue Rewards or have any questions, please visit barclays.co.uk/bluerewards or call us on 0345 7 345 345* and Premier customers call us on 0800 9 247 365*. We're here to help.

    Your Barclays Team

Paid the first £3 on the 1st yesterday, and also received the £7.

I've had DD's set up on my account for a long time though, and pay in more than £800, so this reward seems to be a no brainer for me.

I've just set the mobile all up as it didn't work before on nexus phones saying it was rooted when its not. It's very cool being able to see your mortgage progress on your phone!!

My £7's gone into the Blue Rewards wallet but how do I actually access that money? There doesn't seem to be a way to transfer it to my current account on the Payments section of the app. Do I have to do it through the website or something?

Thanks for that, just done it through the website, not possible through the app.

Their Android app has a button for it. Tap on Blue Rewards, then Redeem your balance now. It also appears as a separate account under Your accounts, which you can transfer money from.
