I'm rather partial to the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair :D

Me too, can't imagine why:o. Don't mind Oceans 11 either (though 12 and 13 take brand extension a bit too far).

I don't know why they remake such recent films. I'd like to see some black and white films remade in colour. Though not Casablanca, which may just be the most perfect film ever.

Is there a remake which is better than the original? I can't think of one (which isn't to say it doesn't exist of course).

    Scarface

    True Grit.

Those are my two. Not a very long list, though.

I'm trying to vaguely improve my diet, initially during Lent.

Why is it that raw carrot or an apple, whilst enjoyable, just don't hit the spot in the way that a piece of cake, or a cookie, would. Hmph.

    Apparently grapes will work better.

Ah, knew there was something else I meant to buy at the grocer's. Though they wouldn't have fitted into the bag, with all the other healthy stuff!

    I'd recommend a Ford S-Max.

    <snip>

It may be slightly larger than the Scenic, but as I haven't had both (and Renault's UK fleet manager/dealership manager are banned from our office), I'm not 100% sure.

This is going back a while! Meant to ask you this before, but Life kept happening. :o And then I forgot for a while. :o

Why the S-Max over the C-Max? Height? I should go check it out myself, but would be good to get your input as you know more about cars than me. :)

LOL to Renault being banned from office! First 2 Renaults we had were OK, and they're just so big and useful - don't know how we'd have coped with clearing my parents flat when they died without such a big car. But this latest one has been a PIA which is a shame as we had a sunroof put in which I doubt we'll be able to do in future.

It's prob all academic anyway as have been reading some of the stuff about DLA to PIP assessments and I really don't think I will get the points to get top rate of mobility, even though I should do. IYSWIM. But even so am interested as we might swap the Hyundai if a Ford either C or S would suit us better.

Hopefully will feel fitter to go for some test drives over next few weeks. Think I'm just in hibernation mode at present still! :o

The replacement for the Hyundai x35 is no good for me (they had one I was able to sit in when we shopped with them) as front passenger seat I'm too short to see much out through windscreen! Driver seat can be racked up, but not passenger one. :(

Citroen - had a ZX was my first very own car, which I loved, but when we tried out one of the bigger Citroens it made me feel very ill. First time I've ever felt car sick. :(

    You're on the wrong diet.

Have you tried the Joy Diet?
Eat what you fancy, to give yourself some joy :)

But that denies you the joy of losing weight, feeling healthier, ....

Willpower, that's what I need more of.

Edit: And why aren't your mini yorkshires part of your joy diet?

I didn't know they'd remade The Thomas Crown Affair. I liked the remake of the Thing, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

The reboot of Star Trek was a brazilion times better than the borefest of the original movie, but that wasn't a remake so that doesn't count.

I have been following this diet for the last few days. Dont think I can keep it up much longer as we are supposed to be living within a budget .Comfort eating and keeping busy

Pub lunch with friends yesterday followed by a 7.5k walk in the new forest. Followed by drinks in the pub.

Today Lunch with friends in chichester followed by theatre to see Alan Bennetts single spies (excellent) followed by evensong at the cathedral, followed by meet up for drinks with another friend then supper for just the the two of us then home.

Need to settle back down again, eat less, drink less, no plans for valentines day except a walk.
