Oh noes... the doozers up at 3am again. It's as though the detector gods are playing a sick joke on you. Did it work?

They had gone off twice within minutes of each other before but didn't happen again after that. I know I was awake until after 4:30.

We'll find out tonight at 3am. If it happens again, I'm moving out! :rotfl:

I got off "light" in the storms, fence man's just pointed out a neighbour's tiles have slipped and the underfelt is showing. I'll be keeping an eye out for them when they come home to let them know.

Remember to ask for a 10% commission from them, plus one of their business cards :money:
Job seems to be about 2/3rds of the way through ... and they've popped off to MaccyDs for a coffee.

    McD's coffee is horrible.

Their strawberry milkshakes on the other hand.....
Also, bit of a billy bonus job.... ordered a wall mounted postbox, which just arrived.... fence man said he'd stick that on the wall for me too (no cost). Hoped/thought he might if it turned up in time :)

EDIT: All done, they were here three hours.

    Not bad!

The remaining smoke alarm hasn't gone off yet.

I woke up at 1:15 instead until about 2:30 - I've got a stinking cold developed. I have a sore throat and took a sports bottle of water and was sipping from it. Fell asleep with it and have completely soaked the duvet and Doozer's side of the bed (that's gravity for you).

He has retreated to the spare room.

That's easily done. DW sometimes falls asleep in bed holding a cup of tea, although she doesn't always spill it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I feel staying awake to check the alarm doesn't go off may be considered excessive dedication to duty....

Do any of the NPs have a Dyson DC44 or any of the other stick type hand held Dysons? They are coming up on special at Aldi this week. Last year I bought one of the little hand helds and it has been brilliant. Am now considering the DC44, but it is significantly more expensive.

The price will be £189.99 if anyone is interested.

Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I would never buy another Dyson. They work well if they work but don't work enough of the time to justify the price IME.

That programme: What to Buy & Why on last night (BBC 2?) compared and trialled three cordless vacuums. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b070p5yt/what-to-buy-and-why-episode-6

    Brilliant, thank you. Watching now.

I've owned four different ones. They are all rubbish and all gone back. I've bought the smallest corded Dyson I could find now and it's like being back in the modern age with vacuum cleaners that work.

£200 is not on for something that is only good for occassional use and even then is a problem.
