Having helped save viva two hundred squids I will provide another public service today.

There is a film called The Mechanic. Never, ever watch this film. I have seen pornos with more plot. There are not words to describe how bad it is.

Didn't seeing the name "Jason Statham" in the cast give you a clue? ;)

He is the modern day Steven Seagal.

Is there a remake which is better than the original? I can't think of one (which isn't to say it doesn't exist of course).

    Judge Dredd...

    :)

What did you do next? Fry them til black?

Flash fried them on the outside in a little olive oil and then roasted them in the oven for 20 minutes until the internal temperature was 80C.

Served with jacket spuds, carrot and cucumber sticks, some lovely cherry tomatoes, roast aubergine, roast broccoli and roast pumpkin.

They weren't 'blackened' although I can see how that would have improved them a little. Normally I'd have done them on the barbie but I'm out of gas and couldn't be bothered to go buy some more.

These hot days make you lazy.

We'll just have to take your word for that.
DH just cooking me bacon sarnies for breakfast.
DS is in Amsterdam with his mates, no doubt having a good time.
DD is in Paris with her BF.
Somehow I think I drew the short straw this weekend.

I had never seen a film staring Mr Statham before.

I used to quite enjoy the occasional Steven Seagal movie, Under Siege was quite fun for example. The rest Mr Statham's oeuvre I suspect will remain unseen by me.

I think you did well getting bacon. Life goes better with bacon.

I don't really do Valentines Day. We went to the RSL club and they were giving a rose for each woman and I thought that I can't be outdone by the flipping RSL so on the way home went to the grocers and bought Mrs Generali some very nice orchids. We both love orchids.

My Sunday breakfast is almost always the same. Two warm pains Australia chocolate with a glass of Orange juice and a cappuccino. Nothing special foodwise for VD.

Normal weekdays it is a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice.

Last night I was very amused by the number of men shopping a Tesco. The shop was almost identical in every case... red roses, card, case of beer.

ETA... just noticed that my tablet changed au to Australia. Don't know why. Typing this it changed au to ah. Pains ah chocolate sound quite lovely.
