That sounds like me 7 days a week until at least the 3rd coffee....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Here's a clue to my fiendishly difficult one-off quiz...

Generali' wrong?
I blame having to fill numerous hours of news coverage for that fact that the weather is worse these days....and you can also be certain that flooding would need to impact London and the home counties before it became a national emergency about which something must be done....I think....0 -
Just realised I forgot to eat any tea yesterday ... so it's jalapeno chicken sandwich filler, in two bits of bread, for breakfast!
Use by yesterday, so it couldn't be delayed longer really.0 -

We have the Thames Barrier. No one has though it worthy to spend money on a (insert name of river up north) Barrier.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I bet Mevagissey's under, it usually is without special weather events.
The usual comment is that we are now building on floodplains, so we just get what we deserve. However, all the buildings that I have seen on the news as having been flooded seem to be old buildings that look like they have been there at least a century. I guess that our ancestors built on floodplains too?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I was going to try and think up another two lines, including something witty about bubbles (as per the original spirit level mention, tying in the seasonal references to Christmas drinks). Couldn't work out how to make it not sound like it was about flatulence though :rotfl:0 -

Okay, rarely....alright, infrequently.
Alright, I'm wrong oftenly. We have the Thames Barrier. No one has though it worthy to spend money on a (insert name of river up north) Barrier.
Why would you spend money on a Mersey barrier?
It's grim up North. (and very sadly quite wet. I wish only well for those poor beggurs that are flooded out).0
