Am I the only one who opens the hinge lid of the kettle to fill it as it fills much quicker without splashing?
I open the lid but unfortunately I cannot now lift the kettle to and from the taps, so need to fill in situ...and then it is backwards! I've got used to doing it now and know how much to put in.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

My uncle who was born in 1933 was left handed but was forced to write with his right hand at school. He said the teachers used to beat him with a ruler if he was seen using his left hand.
My mum was born in 1945 and it seems by then teaching methods had become more enlightened and she was allowed to use her left hand.0 -

Yes and we often do, but there has come a tradition that for birthday meals we go to smart London restaurants, which are not kosher and generally not veggie.
there is also the location issue, Kosher restaurants tend to be in north west London, whereas DS1 and DS2-GF are south.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. How easy is it to find Kosher meals in ordinary restaurants and what about compliance with plates etc. How do you feel assured or comfortable.0 -
I have a Christmas jumper . My first.
DD bought it for me. She and her bf are taking us to the
pantomime tomorrow evening.
I find such things painful. Need to lighten up.0 -

I think she came to a wise decision . If they had wed her firstname and his surname would have been p*rn star material in its own right.0 -

I have this one:

Congrats to viva and gen.
As regards visiting parents I do that as regularly as possible, as should we all. Wish the weatgher here in SW London would perk up a bit. They say it's warm but that counts for zilch as it rains a perpetual drizzle. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I was walking home through London for about 10 mins this evening (yesterday!) and got absolutely soaked
I suppose as long as it isn't too cold I'm not going to complain.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
