She did a complete about turn....and then started talking about hormones making our ligaments more lax with age and with EDS it makes everything worse.

I've got loads of blood forms to have blood taken as she wants to check just about everything it is possible to check from blood samples just in case there are any other nasties lurking that we don't know about.

To be honest, I was more worried about Josh's ECG yesterday, the nurse instead of reporting everything is fine (as usually happens with James - his attacks don't show up on normal ECGs), went off in search of a doctor. Unfortunately, they were all in a meeting/finished for the day, so we are waiting to hear if whatever she saw on the print out is anything to worry about.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Life changes, we all change. All we can do is try to make the best of the moment and if it's not going great, try to make some changes (or at least ride out the bad times if not up to making changes). Life isn't fair and doesn't owe us anything. But there are often good things to focus on too. As so many np show.

In other news, just had a cheese and ham croissant so I've met last nights cheese cravings :)

So glad the doctor was rather more helpful when you saw her, Sue :T and will be thinking of you re Josh x

lir - When one is ill for a long time and unable to do all the things one used to do, with no end in to the situation in sight, one simply has to change and adapt to the new situation or it would be impossible to cope. That's what I've found, anyway ((HUGS))

I bet they wee'd themselves with excitement when they found 10 more!

Hard to say what's morally right/wrong. He must have stolen them, probably ...but so long ago and no individuals were harmed. It's a drop in the ocean for the Govt, but precedents being set could be a rod for their own back in the future, so, despite the cost the Govt had to throw millions in $$ and lots of time at this.

Sensible answer would have been to simply declare "Look what they found - keep them as a goodwill gesture. What a story folks, eh!" but that doesn't happen in real life so readily/easily/openly.

Re tyres... keep meaning to mention due to Lydia's sig. Had two new tyres this week. Had plenty of tread, but had a fairly spectacular puncture as the side wall just split. It turns out that tyres have a recommended shelf life which mine had exceeded. Only an issue for people driving older cars, but thought I should mention. Fortunately mine went pop while turning a corner at v low speed. Shame they don't pick this up on MOT. I still had 5mm tread so thought they were ok.

I had this with the C2 the tyres experience before they worn out, the side walls just started splitting.

As it is drove it this morning and on sharp turns there is a knocking, been years since I have replaced a drive shaft (never tried on this car).

Why fix what isn't broken. All change is bad.
