I was offered a massive £60 trade in for my old car.

That's the point where I would ask around at work to see if anyone wants a £60 car, as seen, no returns. That would be a real bargain to somebody that may not be flush with cash.

My workmate, DW's uncle, my nephew are all driving my previous cars at bargain trade-in prices and very happy with it.

That's what I'd do too: offer it around to family, friends and friends of family and see if anyone can profit from it in some way. Perhaps they drive it, perhaps they do it up to sell. Either way they get to gain some extra value from a car that has probably a negative value to a dealer.

I wasn't saying you shouldn't smoke full stop - more that you must be quite keen to contemplate going out into the carp that is today's weather when you are inside, warm and cosy....and have enough toilet paper.

Watched /DD2s football this morning, even her scoring the winner at 4 all in the last minute and being named 'person of the match' didn't make it anything other thank !!!!!!! cold.

She also got person of the match in her netball yesterday evening (although the result was less good), no idea where she gets her sporty coordination from, certainly not me nor DW.
    I think....

Thing is, the old telly ain't broke. I feel uncomfortable treating electronics as a disposable like fashion clothes.

    Anyone else feel the same?

    Guess I'm getting old ;)

I have an ancient CRT TV which still works (just). My parents changed their TV etc. a few years ago, and gave me their old flatscreen TV. It's still upstairs in the spare room, until the ancient one gives up the ghost.

DW's father used to buy her a big tray of Ferrero every year at Xmas.

...she hadn't the heart to tell him she hated them ! :rotfl:
