Has anyone found anything worth getting for Black Friday yet?

Edit: After we had DD2 in hospital a month ago I decided it would be useful to have one of those O2 finger monitors in the house but there seems to be too much choice and not enough info prices range from £10 to £250. No doubt the £250 ones are better but are the £20-30 ones better than the £10 ones or is it just different packaging?

I bought a bottle of wine. It is slightly nice and not that expensive. Also a little bit cheaper than last week and I would be prepared to pay full price for it although obviously I didn't offer to.

    Sigh.

Sitting in silence in New House alone. Mrs Generali and the Generalissimos are away for the night and I have no TV or radio. Just me, some wine and a mobile phone. Does that make me a sad beggar or just content? I feel contented.

Not sure what it makes you but it makes me envious. Strange day here - DD1 went to Matilda last night so I had to pick her up at midnight which is past my normal bedtime (yes we live opposite the school but for some reason the trip returned to the local shops area 3/4 of a mile away - actually 'some reason' is that it is much better that 150 kids are not dropped off at midnight in a quiet residential street with limited parking for 150 parents) and then got to work this AM and found that everyone else is on leave today so it is just me so I guess a bit like your situation but 20 degrees colder and 100% less sunshine and wine. I have some work I need to do (fixing some complicated sql queries written by someone else) but failing to find any online black Friday bargains seems marginally less boring.

Are you fully moved? I hate moving - perhaps as renters you don't have the same junk hoard that we have?
    I think....

I looked at these, and the big difference for as far as I could see was whether they record the O2 saturation overnight or whether they just take a one off reading. I suspect you just need the latter.

    And I bought this for £50. http://www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/BE997/Berghaus-Mens-Redpike-2-Layer-Gore-Tex-Shell-Jacket-Blue

But now I am wondering whether I should have paid more and got this?

Edit: Ordered the second one as well now, in blue, and I'll send one back. Isn't this online shopping lark fun?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I sometimes buy quorn mince on the basis that we shouldn't be eating met every meal but never really like it - even mixed 50-50 with real mince in spag bol or lasagna it is just disappointing :(

I'd rather make a meatless spag bol or chilli with beans or pulses tbh.

I haven't bought anything in the black Friday sales but youngest got an SSD for his computer and my parents a camcorder.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

We've got a week or so across houses so no rush to move everything.

I am also suffering 0% sun because it's nighttime. It was a grey day with spits and spots of rain today but I still got a bit burned on the bit of my head that used to be well protected by hair before male pattern baldness kicked in. Slip, slop, slap brother. Slip, slop, slap. Even in spring these days. Summer starts on Tuesday.

I popped to a supermarket and returned am item of clothing that didn't suit me. Bought 3 cartons of soup, a pot of yogurt and some wholemeal English muffins. Does that count?

You'd be better off with wine although it's probably a bit early still over there.

What is this concept of "too early"?
Is it linked to that other strange phrase "left-over wine"?

If you have wine at breakfast then you should consider the concept.

In the mid-80s I went on an exchange visit to a very regional bit of France. Very.

Pere drank three glasses of wine a day: one with breakfast, one with lunch and one with dinner.
