Very well put Viva.....although I may have used a different word to pancake!

Re finances, Josh will be getting the usual loans and grants he is entitled to via student finance and I top up with a small weekly amount but his halls are really quite expensive (due to his disabilities, he had to go for the one on campus) so he will have to watch the pennies. He should be ok but getting money for his birthday from his father would have allowed him to have a treat, bearing in mind it took him a week to get through £30 (Freshers week at that and having to buy some essentials we forgot to pack!), he is quite good at budgeting.

Ex hubby has already tried the cheaper route, he was proposing to buy a version that was 13 years old and way out of date for a couple of quid....goodness knows what Josh will actually receive! I now wish we hadn't even asked him for a contribution, I or my parents would have bought the book and Josh would have been given a proper birthday present, too late now though.

And to think he created merry hell on his birthday when the boys bought him an Amazon voucher, he said in effect they didn't get him a present even though they put a lot of thought (and pocket money!) into it and thought that because I love to get Amazon vouchers to feed my book addiction, that he would too.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Monday morning is the worst time for super moon, so I didn't get out of bed for it either.

Anyway, there's another one in 2033!

Went for walkies around Polesden Lacey yesterday.
Lovely place, lovely weather, lovely, lovely...

    Stumbled onto this creature:

Now I know next to nothing about British native reptiles, so I just assumed it was a little snake, but having googled it, I now think it's a 'slow worm', which funnily enough is a limbless lizard?

Any NP with more reptilian knowledge who can confirm this?

Yeah, that's a slow worm. We used to get them on a bit of waste land at the bottom of my street and you are double right as it is a legless lizard not a snake.

The moon had snuck into view from my bedroom window at about 4am, so I had a little gaze at the pretty colour and went back to sleep.

    Mega headache this morning.

We got the super moon this evening. It looked beautiful from the office window over the harbour.

Now you know what he will spend the voucher on!

He really is a loser, I'm sorry you now feel that you shouldn't have asked him to help out.

Head slap! Hadn't even thought of that, wouldn't put it past him to do that.
